Sorry for the tardy reply. Vince is currently hard at work with Doane Perry working on a follow up to the Thread CD. More details as they become available.

Mantisaur

Thanks, Travis - wow, that´s some great news! I have always crossed my fingers for a Thread follow up.

I\'ve read on www.seibertron.com about his new album and that he\'s been very very busy with it. Check it out.

Although this interview took place last year... November 23rd, 2006, Vince was already mentioning things about this new recording plus something about new sounds or new music as he calls it.

Gosh I can\'t wait till this recording is released. I hope also that Travis Dickerson Recording Studio will look into the future and making DTS Audio disc\'s. Allot of artists are using this technique and I tell you... it opens up everything when you hear your favourite artist in full Digital 5.1 surround sound. ;D

I\'m musically very poor, the CD\'s I have are very old. Usually I have trouble finding good music in the music stores, looking for a week and come home with just 2 CD\'s. But I\'m glad that I was able to add some Vince songs from TDRS music to my repertoire, so thanks TDRS for the free downloads on yourwebsite.

They are awesome.

Hi to all,

Thanks to those who have been inquiring about the new progressive rock project I\'ve been working on with my partner Doane Perry.  We are still hard at work on the recording of this material.  It\'s a HUGE undertaking (which should become evident when we\'re finally done and in a position to release it), and Doane and I are both trying to work around several other personal and professional obligations.  Therefore, it may still be sometime until we\'re able to share this great music and make it available, but I think it will be well worth the wait.

The centerpiece of this project at the moment is a long suite (over 45 minutes in length) with a working title of "Figurehead", and without a doubt this is the most ambitious piece of music I\'ve ever tackled personally.  It\'s very progressive in nature - a lot of interesting twists and turns - some very melodic vocal statements interwoven with some colorful and adventurous instrumental passages.  We have quite a ways to go on this piece but we\'re very excited about how things are sounding so far.

I will keep you posted, and thanks again to all who have expressed interest in hearing this new music.

Cordially,
Vince

Wish you guys all the best for the further recording progress.

take care,

Oh wow :o

You\'ve certainly gained my attention. Sounds amazing.

45 minutes  :o. Will this be then a double disc feature... I mean, this sounds like one of those recordings the band Dream Theater would make. I love those long suite\'s cause they are always full of surprises like sudden bridges and downtempo sections. I\'m also very very curious to the new sounds that are mentioned.

Say Vince... is there also a singer or is this recording going to be instrumental? Wish you all the luck with the recording sessions.

Hey Criss. I\'m sorry if I\'ve said something wrong... but I\'ve never ever have heard or seen anything about these liquid tension experiment. ONly once I heard Mike Portnoy said something about it on Youtube while presenting Jordan Ruddess.

What are these liquid tension experiments?

Mixmaster,

Vince is not in Liquid Tension Experiment I was just dreaming that it would be cool if....? he joined up with\'m, ya dig!

but the LT has two vary hard to find CD\'s out the first one is called (simply) Liquid Tension Experiment and the second is called 2, now they released a third without John Petrucci called Liquid Trio Experiment: Spontaneous Combustion.

Sorry if this has had any illogical errors or jumps, but I was only dreaming.

The Music described here sounds like something they would do, I\'m not sure Vince is even away of them, for that matter.

Saweee!

Hey Criss.

Ahaaa... now I understand. Well... I\'m a huge Progressive fan... hence the DT saying.  :) Gosh I can\'t wait any longer. This must be very very hard to record though... and 45 minutes at that. This is already becomming a major milestone in Vince\'s career.

Also have you read the other topic here about the T-square recording\'s where vince has been taking part with? Thank god I found a store who is able to order these disc\'s for me. That\'s also a little progressive kinda style, though not song\'s of 30 mintues. ;) I would fall off my chair if I had to play that long.  ;D

Wohow.

Hey Niels,
