Farewell and a peaceful eternity to Johnny (Cummings) Ramone.  Guitarist and band guardian, you gave us everything you had and more.  You fought cancer good and hard, but in the end you needed the rest man.

Tommy\'s the only one left now.
Peace.

It makes me realize my age when I hear about the idols of my youth passing away. At least the music lives on...

if it makes you feel any better, Johnny had prostate cancer and was only 55 - that ain\'t old enough to die, not in my book!  ain\'t old at all.

Dee Dee, my dear departed former neighbor, that was another case and i feared it would happen actually earlier than it did.  Joey, he got sick as well - age irrelevant.  Hopefully Tommy holds on for a long while.

meanwhile the punk goddess herself, Exene, is still raging!  a little rounder (aren\'t we all?) but still pushing buttons.

and the Iguana slides along...  gotta love that man.
Peace.

Have you heard anything about Johny Lydon lately? I haven\'t seen anything since PiL.

Did you know Morrisey from the Smith is back and doing lounge muzak? Too weird for words.  :o

nope - i haven\'t really followed Lydon - and you\'re right - the lounge thing is too weird for words.  i think that has to be a financial thing, not a personal mission.  i hope.
Peace.

Goddess Bless and keep Johnny\'s soul in peace and lend comfort to those who grieve.

I think that\'s the wonder , the blessing, behind the music; while musicians gift the world and later move on to the next song playing at the other side of the veil, they leave the rest of us with an eternal legacy that shall keep their spirit alive in our hearts forever.

Lounge Muzak?  I don\'t know man, last time i checked he had "You are the Quarry" out, and it was pretty rockin actually.  Harder than many a smith song i\'ve heard.

I was big fan of The Smiths , years ago, and the new stuff Morrissey is putting out now , sounds great, I  wouldn\'t call it \'Lounge Muzak\' though!
He played at  the Glastonbury festival in June and was brilliant!!
