Travis I sent you 3 Giant Robot shows.
2-21-04, 2-27-04 and 3-6-04

Hopefully you and Bucket like them and can release 1 or a compilation of the 3, and people can pick them up at the merch booth at the next Giant Robot show.

Peace Out!

chazuke

Please release the shows, all of them. I saw the one at Slim\'s, and it was great. According to reviews, all were quite different and nonetheless fantastic.

To slaughterhousetech: Can I put my name on the list of people to trade a copy anyway? I have lots of really rare stuff to offer in return.

BloodScrollBro

Slaughterhousetech: I just blew a gasket reading that post...  :o
Is there ANY way to entice you to share the love? Money? Fame? Power? Altho you have the power with audio from all 3 shows.
On the Binge board there\'s been much talk of tracking down someone with what you have and making it worth their while to seed out these shows.
Pending Travis\' response, please consider it. Or even just contact Zuzu to see what arrangements could be made. ALOT of folks have been jonesin\' for these shows, including many folks who were there...
Thanks.

\'official\'??

Travis

Whoa, before this gets out of hand. First, I am not the official anything for Buckethead enterprises. I have had a number of people volunteer to send me recordings of various Buckethead events in the hope that they might be made available. While I am highly sympathetic to the fans that want to see or hear this material there are a number of complicating factors that come into to play that put me in a awkward position beyond my control. Let me just say two words to help explain the complications, bootleg and official, and I hope you can draw logical conclusions with out having me get more involved than I already am. Second, my position when folks ask if they can send me stuff for Buckethead has always been  if your willing to take the risk I will try to pass stuff on but I can\'t promise anything. I don\'t want to change the way I have been doing this because I think I can help in some situations but I want to try to explain why because of the sensitive nature of some of this material it may have to be returned to the sender unopened.
Again it\'s not up to me what gets passed along and I hate disappointing those of you who would love to see this material, all I can say is this is the music business, god don\'t I love it.

Sorry for the confusion Travis.
I just thought you have the equipment to do it right, and I don\'t want these to wind up on Ebay for $40 or $50 a pop.
I do it for free because I love this music, not for fame, and certainly not for money.
If Bucket isisn\'t satisfied with his performance then I can\'t release them.
My concern is these scumbags on ebay, people making a profit from other peoples hard work.
I\'m on the road a lot and have no permanaent address right now, so trading will have to wait until I find a home.
Sorry for the grief Travis.

Travis

ST,

No grief at all. Sounds like you have a good grasp of the complications involved. My suggestion would be to seek out a more official Buckethead authority to eliminate all the possibilities you outlined in your last post, once that\'s cleared I would love to see something live come out.

Isn\'t that the truth?  The sad thing is that people do buy them, either from lack of understanding or they simply don\'t care.

chazuke

sl-tech, you have a point.

On the other hand: For the same reason, a lot of art goes into a safe and no one has a chance to appreciate.

I would sign any paper "no resale, no copies" etc.

But why so complicated? You can upload the stuff on db.etree.org , make a posting here so every robot knows, and hence no market for scumbags.

I can well understand Travis\' difficulty to help.

i think this is a case where, as in SO many things, money cripples understanding.
Peace.

Travis,you are great.

Everybody should look up the word \'Official\' in the dictionary

Travis

Thank you Colmatose, this is about respecting Buckethead and his wishes and nothing more. Sometimes Bucketlogic can be a mysterious thing. See the movie Pi to help clear things up.

it kinda became a non-sequitor when chazuke slipped in ahead of me on posting and now sort of reads to me like i\'m applying the money aspect to BH, or worse yet to Travis, and i don\'t mean it that way.
Peace.

gkg, not to worry, we know that\'s not what you meant.
