I read Zintar\'s post that he got his today, so I go trek out in my slippers and sure enough - new slab, sitting all frosty in my mailbox!  Way to go, Travis!

I got mine in the mail!  I am ripping it to my iPod right now.  Man Travis has fast shipping.  Thanks for being so great Travis!

Can anyone who has already heard SOTP liken it to another BH album?  It\'s killing me waiting for it to arrive :-(

Another amazing album. I\'m loving the everloving hell out of it. Track 7 - Premonition is just the best. Ever. I was hoping to get my Frankenstein Brothers CD signed by That 1 Guy tonight at the show but it didn\'t get here in time, usually my TDRS stuff gets here fast as lightning. Go figure the one time I need it to get here FAST it gets held up. Oh well there\'s always next time. Made a copy of that Monolith "multiplex" for T1G, hope he likes it!

LOVE It!! Best album since Albino Slug  I especially like the inversions of titles and themes. I hear a lot of direct passages and continuations...Dejavoodoo!!  My fave so far is track 5, love that low-low stuff!! This is another you\'ll never play once through, it demands at least three plays in one sitting, as does Albino, still, for me.

So any news on touring?

well I was going to start this RE: by asking " does anyone else CD sound go in and out from track 3 on ward............" but then I stopped playing cause the thing kept doing it and turned my player  (extremely old Sony CFD-50) off, then when I turned CD over I saw the condensation on the CD (CFD lives in Bathroom am I hurting the life of the CD by playing it here) I then quickly removed it and stuck it in my newrish player (Sony CFD-440) plays fine.

problem averted but I think I may have to retire the (CFD-50) along with some other Electronics and this computer tower soon.

anyway, SotP review from what I hear is like this, the dribbling of the basket ball is the Drum Beat the squeak of the shoes and the roaring of the crowd is the lead and Rhythm guitar, then Bucket and Monti Play basket ball while on a Roller coaster/ Chopping block (fake fade outs really got Me the first time round) then a calm before the next storm of heavy metal thunder.

one thing of request for Monti/Brewer is next time, throw some FX on those drums, phased or flanged Drums are keen but Echoed Drums are the best.

  WEEEEEEEEEE!!!  On continuous spin...yesssss! Track 5 has me spellbound...and probably my fave too... OF corpse...it\'s tough for my headstump to fave a "one"..I love them all ...."different"...yet #5 does have a schweet (psyNchopathic) beat ....that really speaks and digs deep for me. "Don\'t use Roosts if you Raise Broilers!"

At this point I think it is much better than Albino Slug, and I really love that album.  I will see how much staying power it has, but this might be his best album of the last several years.  He seems to be learning to craft songs that not only are more immediately accessible, but also still really deep and interesting.  There is so much going on in these songs that it seems almost as though I am listening to a new album every time I hit repeat.  What a great slab.
