Congratulations Buckethead! This is my third time seeing you there. Taking my son and his friend, and four of mine, three of whom are Buckethead noobs. Anyone from the TDRS boards who might be there-stop by and say hi! If you see a handsome gentleman with a goatee wearing a dark brown ying yang T shirt, ask him where I am!

This show was very disappointing.  The sound was horrible when it was working.  It cut out quite a few times and the show was cut short abruptly about 80 minutes in.  I saw BH at the TLA a few weeks ago and that was amazing, but this may have been one of the worst concerts I have ever attended.  People should be ashamed that they charged for this fiasco.

I was at the show too, and was so disappointed that Bucket had to cut the show short. Two years of waiting for Buckethead to return to NYC and this happened. :(

The touring schedule looks tight until the end of the year, I hope that Buckethead will return to NYC to do a makeup show at some point. I also hope it will be at a different venue. BB Kings is awful on a good day...rude staff, horrible sightlines, really claustrophobic. What about Irving Plaza, B? Webster Hall? High Line Ballroom? Please?

In the meantime, if Bucket happens to read this message board or his friends do: Thanks for coming to NYC at all. You were great when you were playing, you did everything you could to keep the show going and when you came out to say goodnight to the audience, I was really touched. Thanks, and please come back to New York again soon.

I was there last night. I\'m kinda disappointed and sad. I\'m grateful he came and all that, but I saw him at Asbury Park a month ago and it was ten thousand times better. Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong, and the show was cut short. I\'m not pissed off at Bucket or anything, but in the end I\'m just feeling down.
I\'m getting my pictures set up, so I\'ll post a link as soon as they are ready.

I think Bucket was royally screwed. I don\'t think he received the help he needed onstage-those were not his regular roadies, they may have been BB Kings staff people for all we knew. If that wasn\'t Bucket\'s regular gear and it turns out is was rented, then whomever rented the gear to him should be held accountable. I really felt very bad for him, we all wanted to see out hero conquer a sold out BB King show. If he could have just been allowed to do his thing, unencumbered by  technical difficulties, it would have been the usual smoking performance we have all come to expect. I think he did well under the circumstances. Maybe it\'s time to change venues in NY City, somewhere bigger with a friendlier staff next time. I hope he comes back soon.

Yeh maaajor tech difficulties, P-sticks was no where to be seen to help.
Everything else that he got through was great i thought. Concert was still fun... other than this particular douchebag in back of me muscling me and my gf around. I heard a lot of intense animosity from some unhappy campers (bums).

Totally agree with the staff, what a bunch of humbugs. I got muscled around by this dreaded black dude for using my video/still camera (despite the absence of a prior disclaimer)

no worries though, we enjoyed  ;D

Per Anthony Cosenza the General Manager of BB King\'s:

"We would like to thank everyone for coming out to see Buckethead this past Saturday. Many are disappointed that the show did not go the normal distance that Buckethead usually goes. I want to give my deepest apology and I believe that the fans and loyal BB King Customers deserve a reason for why the show ended earlier than normal. About 20 minutes into the show Buckethead blew out one of his amps. Some of you may have noticed a switch to his back up amp at this point. Then, about 80 minutes into the performance, Buckethead\'s second guitar amp blew out onstage.  These amps were his personal equipment, we offered the use of our house equipment which is a different brand and quality.  Buckethead decided not to compromise the quality of his performance and decided to end the show at that point. Even though some were left with a bad feeling about the show the venue supports the artists decision to end early instead of compromising himself. We plan on having Buckethead back to the venue in the future hope that all of you return to see him again."

I hope Bucket plays a larger venue next time. Was a packed house for sure, and I\'m glad he sold it out, but I think even more people will come see him if he plays at a place like the Nokia Theater for example. That would be absolutely perfect for both him and the fans.
