Let her know how much you love her, man - this is a nasty process from the inside, if you think the shunts were freaky to you, imagine being her.  Whatever form is natural in your family, let her know how important she is, how much she means to you.  That shit wipes you out and makes you feel like a dank rag, even once it\'s over the effects ride on for a little while.  She needs lots of love and understanding - and you\'re obviously a son full of both.   Hooray for the upside of the journey!  :-*
Peace.

what your mom have?  my mom had a mastectamy which had to be tended to greatly cuz the wound was open.  gross stuff.

Chemo sucks definately, it was horrible when my mom was doing it.  the losing of the hair is definately painful especially for a woman as well.  but now my mom\'s got a killer afro from her hair growing in curly!  cool!

caper

hey chris congradulations to all of you and i hope things keep getting better and better!  give your mom a hug for me ok?  :D

Hey Mr. Spencer

My mom had a Colonastpy? and Doctors found Cancer in a polup so she had a surgery to refigure her colon, I was there stayed in the hospital while the Nurses gave her Morphine and these really weird leg wraps so  the  blood  flows back in to her legs theses wraps were then hooked up to a pump that would make noise like Darth Vader\'s breathing, But the side effects were not as  bad as Breast Cancer she lost strands of her hair and to begin with she didn\'t have full down the back mane have you ever seen the original Charles Angelas well she didn\'t look like Farrah or the Latinoe she looked like the second one, I don\'t know her name, But Spencer did your Mom were a wig, mine had two one Brunett and one Blonde, but she didn\'t need them, she didn\'t care what the hek was her motto, but she is diffrent in some ways better, but it can only get better from here on out . she\'s gonna get married really soon so this was just a rock in the road in starting over.

To GKG
From the begining I told her that I would take this away from her, in a switch just to take away the pain, she said she knows and that its ok and the side effects will diminish also I told her we would have to change how her body feels from bad to good she\'s been cooped up for 5 long months. Its been hard one side effect was that she couldn\'t eat drink anything cold (i.e.) ice cream, milk and most important Diet Coke. she loved diet coke...

Lastly Caper
I did give her a hug last Night but not to long and not to close becuse I\'m still getting over having a real nasty head cold. but will do a hug soon.

Sorry for the gross out but when I herd the words Done Early I had to post.

hahahaha - Wilson\'s as sweet as he sounds, so i hear.  my former brother-in-law, Andy, plays and produces with him.

funny how the wounded speak for the masses sometimes - whether they know it or not.
Peace.

Chris,
My mom had a wig yeah, she didn\'t want anyone to like, worry about her or anything.  she works at two places, one of which is a teaching job at the university, so she didn\'t wanna make a fuss outta it.  actually, the day of the operation she got my dad to teach, then the next day she was back, haha.

The wig looked really nice actually.  now she has a killer fro cuz her hair grew in curly.  i\'m going to buy her an afro pick with a "solid" fist at the top, just because i love that type of stuff, and i love irony!

anyways, i think her mastectamy got infected which needed an operation.  she had to leave the wound open so a little pump could go in there and suck stuff out.  it made more of a gurgling sound though, not a Vaderish sound.

she got really bad around the third chemo though.  that\'s when she started getting sick and stuff.

either way, she\'s done with that stuff, and i know how relieved i was then, and how relieved you must be.  My mom\'s and older lady in the first place, and i want her to see her grandchildren (be it my brother\'s kids or mine), which was looking very slim during cancer time.  If i ever had reason to believe in God, it was to get my mom through this, and I thank him for that every day.
