The leather industry is the largest RECYCLING industry in the world. The hides (leather) is a by product of the beef industry. No bull or cow is killed for it\'s hide alone. Also another interesting factoid: leather tanning is the OLDEST manufacturing process in the history of the human race. After all before we could spin and weave we wore skins!!

Now share; how did the piercing go and , if not too personal please, where did you open a new consciousness!  

Ahum, well, it went very well, and the deep breath did not REALLY help at the moment of piercing  , but I have to say it hurt, but only for 2 minutes, not painful at all today, I am exceedingly pleased.  

My new consiousness is a vertical hood.   I had been thinking about it for quite some time. I did my research, and spoke to many people, and went to the best place in town, and they are of course members of the Association of Profesional Piercers. Very clean environment, and lucky for me the female piercer was there.   So I was more at ease.

So as a treat to myself for not chickening out, I special ordered another bar, of gold with 2 opals! Hay a girl has to treat herself once in a while!  

So maybe nipples next.... haven\'t made up my mind on that yet....

Ooo ouch!    At least you were um, sensible about having a professional piercing.  Piercing, my friend tells me, is a serious business (that\'s what she does for a living, btw), but I\'m just happy with the two wittle holes in my ears--thankyouverymuch.  

Congrats on the new piercing, Beatnik--you\'re one brave soul!

hey, my dad once got one of those plastic signs you tack to your fence that said "Beware of DOG."  

he took a knife, rearranged the letters and now hanging in my room is that old sign: "Beware of GOD."

also inherited his "Down with Zipppppers!" sign - but that\'s another thread!!
