Hey Travis, I\'m really not very familuar with Vince\'s work, but I must say I really enjoyed the track you put up in the mp3 section of the site. Is all his stuff like this? Just keys?

Franko, glad you asked. That track is from the long lost piano solos CD vince did 15 years ago or so. It\'s been out of print forever but it has always been sought after by Vince\'s fans because of the sublime playing and Vinces compositional skills.
Vince and I are offering it here as a download only CD, the first of many I hope to  offer. It is not though really typical Vince. Vince probably is best known for his insane analog synth freakout sound track to the Transformers movie. In addition to doing the score to the Rocky IV movie and many other things his CD Thread with Jetro Tull drummer Doane Perry is extremely well respected. We are about to release two brand new Vince DiCola works starting as a download only. The first is the project with Reeves Gabrels, Doan Perry, Paul Ill and Vincent Kendall. This is a hi octane record with great playing by everyone and great vocals by Vincent Kendall. The second one is an amazingly intricate solo work by Vince. I\'ll be posting more info and some MP3\'s in the next week or so as we begin to roll this stuff out.

Very cool, I look forward to hearing the other stuff you\'ll be putting up. Oh and he worked with the Jethro Tull drummer? thats pretty cool. I was reading about him contributing to the Transformers movie, and aparently Vince is doing the music for an up-comming film Sci-Fighter

Manti-saur

finally a Vince thread!

I was already thinking that this might be a Buckethead-only board.

yeah, Vince did some music for the Sci-Fighter movie and if you wantch the trailer video you can see the master himself playing some keys + hear some new Vince track in the background. I really hope theý will get out with a soundtrack so I don´t have to watch the movie  ;)

anyway - I cannot wait for the all new Vince disc. hopefully it comes out really really soon!

as a Buckethead fan you almost expect a new release every 3-5 weeks....and for Vince it seems like to wait ages and ages  ;)

take care guys,

Travis

Funny you guys mention it but the new solo CD contains in addition to all new work, work created for the sci-fighter sound track.

I think that´s some great news!

Travis, maybe I shouldn´t ask but are these songs in the vein of Transformers/Rocky IV Training Montage vein?

thanks,

Karl

Hey Karl, good to see you round. Yes there are a lot of those elements, it\'s a complex work with both slam and lush. I\'ll be posting a sample next week.
