yeah, i sort of thought as much, and besides, it\'s nothing compared to the pressure i manage to put myself through - i\'m my own worst critic in so many ways.   ;)
Peace.

Been there done that, just this Friday as a matter of fact.  It did give me an idea for a new painting; sometimes it is worth the struggle.  All I can say is enjoy the journey, cause in the end that\'s what it is all about!

I hope your other projects have gone well, gkg. Been anticipating the final version of caress for a long time now!

most things are going well - i just need to get myself more deeply focused.  you guys are great for helping me do that.  you do realize i\'m down to two weeks on this one - sigh... now comes the fear that after the buildup it won\'t be what you\'re hoping for.  oh well.  such is life.

 :-* y\'all!
Peace.

Looks like a very nice painting indeed, looking forward to seeing the whole image. I like the area on the back of the hand especially, the skin tone is really well observed.

gkg

thank you.  i guess i have an idea what i\'ll be working on this weekend.  ;)
Peace.

I thought about you today G, as I was creating art for the first time in a long while.  I was wondering how it was going.  When is the baby due, did you make the deadline?  I guess it would be a hard thing to re-negotiate a completion date.  "Thanks for the dolls, but my child is graduating from college next week."

Don't rush on our account, cause that's when things get all                       up (fill in the blank.)

gkg

hehe - i won\'t rush, i promise.  the baby is due July 20th, but i need to give the paintings time to cure before shipping them from NorCal to Dallas.  i don\'t really think there\'s any negitiating the delivery date, either one of them.  ;)

what are you creating?  i went a very very long time before i got back to creating art - about a decade, actually.  how lovely to be thought of at such a personal moment, thanks for letting me know that!   :-*
Peace.

Thinking of you was personal, creating art was all about $.  I was painting flowers on a formal living room wall.  I'm not even sure about the art, it\'s very pedestrian, but it was nice not to have to smear paint for a day.

gkg

it\'s still lovely - and i bet the flowers were too.

ok - off to the studio!
Peace.

ok - photograph is absolute shit, Max didn\'t get to photograph any of the work i did this past weekend - so i will replace this next week with a much better shot - here is the detail - the only part i worked on was the face/hair - the leg and hand really were done already.  you can\'t tell what a nice job i did though - my crappy digital makes the skin colors all hot and the darks are really dark.  tried to tweak that and all the highlights come out a night mare.  the eye socket is WAY more pronounced here than in the painting, and the eyelid doesn\'t look so ghostly-glowing.  the this is why i am not a photographer!  ;o)
Peace.

What do you mean we can\'t tell what a nice job you did? Besides, skin is best when it\'s all hot!  :o

I know that you are not a photographer so let\'s get down to the real issue here.
The fact that it is fabulous.
As always you have churned out a very nice piece.
I am really liking the red in the hair and of course the hand.
Now on with the dolls!!  Chop Chop!!
 ;D ;D ;D

gkg

hehe - thanks -  :-* - so lovely to have such support!  but you see, the skin, while indeed hot, is not so red...

sigh... yes, the dolls... finished the first of the two commissioned ones, the second is about 1.5 days away from completion.  should be done this weekend.

the new birdhouse for the 2006 breast cancer auction is well under way... of course i\'m second and third guessing myself on that one as my plan may or may not be a good follow up to the first one - don\'t know... why do i have to feel obligated to follow the lead of the first one?  should i?  can i safely go a different direction?  i have a notion of a different way to go with the second one from what i have started - wondering now if i should do both ways and see what i want to send... arrggg... i fuss and analyze too damn much i\'m told.  probably very true.

max had to force me to walk away from Caress in fact - i was still tweaking it here and there - she said i was going to tweak it to death.
Peace.

It\'s looking great! Very interesting to compare the early photos with where you are now. I look forward to seeing a photo you are happier about, once Max has worked her magic! ;)
