I took Axiology to the gym with me last night. I swear I lost 10 lbs! 1 for each song. Yeah I wish! But wow I was really motivated.
I have to say that Vicious Circle has to be my absolute favorite. I just wonder Travis, did you have to get a new keyboard after recording that song? I am just imagining that there was smoke coming from the keys as you played, It is truly a hot song!
I know that you are in the works on Thanatopsis 111 and I would in no way want you to take your attention away from that and then the live tour and all... but in the back of your mind if you could kind of store this idea, can we get a solo Travis Dickerson album? Pleeeeeeeease! Just Travis and the keys......Help me out guys... wouldn\'t that be great?!  ;D  ;D

[glb]ha-HA!![/glb]  i have been asking Travis that for some time... let\'s see what the man says now that others are ringing the same bell!!   ;D

what do you say, Trav?  it\'s time, i think.  oh in-deed i do!  throw that wonderful brain of yours into high gear and let it rip man - stop teasing and start pushing yourself.  it\'s the lighting - ha - my ass it is.  it\'s the mind.   :-*
Peace.

We are tag teaming you Travis.... you can\'t hide!!!  ;D  ;D  ;D ;D

Travis

Thank you all, I appreciate the support. Really the Thanatopsis CD\'s are my solo CD\'s. They all started as solo recordings including the one I\'m working on now. Once Ramy and Buckethead become involved it\'s not right to call them that but I still put 100\'s of hours and large chunks of myself into each one of them. Between these recordings and all the other CD\'s I produce there\'s very little time for anything else, I have to pick and choose my projects carefully. My personality is such that I would rather spend time crafting a few projects I\'m happy with rather than crank out several things that I\'m not. As to doing something live, we do talk about doing it and I expect we will, it will probably be something here in L.A. and depend on the extremely busy schedules of the three of us.

I am a recent convert to Thanatopsis, and was encouraged enough the get the super package deal that Travis  offered, and a number of others at reasonable prices, and I must say I am happy with all of them. I ended up with a shipment of about 9 CD\'s and what a blast listening to them, I just wish I had more time for them. I have a hard time picking, but Axiology is definately up there.
I am sooooooo jazzed to hear from you, Travis, that Thanatopsis III is in the works and I will have a spot waiting in my CD case for it. I\'d love to see a live event too, no way you could keep me from it.
I totally appreciate you doing a few things that you are happy with rather than too many you are not, and praise you for the quality work that you have put out there so far. Thank you for your passion and dedication, it has given me hours and hours of pleasurable listening and more to come! Thank you!

Oh man, let me tell you something:

There\'s countless times i\'ve asked my mom to take me to LA for something.

Only once has she said yes.

That was to see Buckethead.

If I play New Year for my mom.  She\'ll be more excited than I am to go!

I\'m so down with an LA show.  the music is so freaking beautiful.

sngwthme

Well Travis you certainly wouldn\'t have to worry that no one would show up. With all of us on the list, you will put us on the list right?, just us on this forum alone would fill a hall to see you. When you all can find that it fits in your schedules that will be fine with me. I will be there! Your passion for your music shines through in everything you do, weather it be alone or not. I am extremely greatful that you are out there suppling this need for this fabulous craft that you weild so well and that I can be on this side of it. As much as I desire something solo I would in no way wish you to spend your time in any other way then you already have or plan to do in the future, just keep what you\'ve got coming beacuse I will certainly be in the front of the line to enjoy and support it. Thank you sooo much Travis, I get so tired of the everyday same ole music that comes through the radios and lines the shelves of the record stores. Please I mean no offense to any artist who is expressing their craft, but sometimes it just gets so repitious and nothing creative pops its head out to me. So when I come across something like Thanatopsis or PFA , music and passion that is simply just different and makes the mind move then I get excited. Sorry for my continuing to praise your work and that of the Artists that work with you but it really does capture a place in me and it means a whole lot. Thank you Travis!

Quotebut don\'t play in Bars, Travis you\'re to good...

Secondary, don\'t play bars or 21+ venues just cuz it\'s mean.

Seriously.  Ask me how many times i\'ve missed Giant Robot, and will soon miss CCBBB.

3.

Three freaking times.

please play an all ages venue.  or a private show at my house.

gkg

there\'s solo and there\'s solo, then there\'s Han Solo.

seriously - do what pleases your soul, but know that pure Travis is something people are very interested in hearing.  i know i\'d go to LA or even Davis to hear you.  in fact, no offense Chris, but it would be about the only reason i would ever go to Davis.

compromise - play in SF?   :-*
Peace.

Opps....................They\'re out again in San Diego.
Barking at the moon, playing with  the cats, and chewing on my old slipper.
C\'mon dogs, back inside...............good doggies, bedtime.

Time for some music and a bedtime story.................. Once upon a time............there was this wonderful music called Thanatopsis....soon there was a second and a third in the works, and from all of this came a live performance! Many attended and were surrounded in good music, new friends, and hours of enjoyment. A memorable evening was had by all, and CDs of the evening were made available at the TDRS site in record time after the show.

Yawn,Yawn............was I dreamimg? But then dreams really can come true, can\'t they? (please, please, please)
Are you getting our not so subtle hints Travis?
I think the idea of a CD from the live perfomance is a good idea (see how positive I\'m being that it will happen?)
Enough said, I\'ll keep listening to my CD\'s cranked up in the Jeep with the wind blowing, or more sedately on my computer at work or at home and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. ;D
