I just really don\'t understand the need to discuss it at all..

bucketfel if fully aware of the attitude towards illegal sharing of bh\'s stuff. But for some reason really has to talk about it... continually

maybe if you do have it illegally and for your very inappropriate justification; just shut up about it. Why would you not only mention it.. but mention it several times on more than one forum of the artist you just stole from is what I don\'t understand.

And not even to shut up about it at that point, but to try and defend this immature position of I\'m broke and need to spend money wisely... if things are so rough why not go buy some food instead of an album.. or maybe its all relative.

I would say you position is wrong in so many ways from every angle, but that is me.

totally agree with D here. how bucketfel can come on the TDRS forum and admit that he has the majority of Bs albums downloaded illegally and try to argue that it\'s ok is beyond me, what do you think Travis thinks about this? it is his forum you\'re admitting to stealing his artists music on. am i right that you have only actually bought 4 big B albums? but all the rest you have illegally downloaded?!

maybe you should save money by paying to download the albums from TDRS, that way you get 2 albums for the price of one when shipping is taken into consideration.

Once again, thank you fellow bots for the above most appropriate comments.  Of those following this discussion, I may be the only bot with a license to practice law in the State of California.  It is illegal and not nice to steal music and there are no valid excuses or justifications for doing so.

Well, I am Canadian... and in the good ol\' land of Eh.. it is completely legal to download music. ;)

Now that being said, I\'ll admit that I have download Buckethead\'s music a good few years ago, but since then I have deleted all of his songs that were downloaded and have started to replace them by purchasing his CD\'s and burning them too my computer.

I have absolutely nothing against downloading music, but I think it mainly depends on the artist. I know there are a lot of bands out there that have no problems with downloading of their music, after all, it isn\'t always as bad as people make it out to be...

Say some teenager only has twenty bucks on him and he\'s at the store... he sees a CD from this so-called \'Buckethead\'. He is very interested but seeing as he only has twenty dollars on him he decides that it would be a better idea to not purchase the album, and maybe buy one of an artist he is more familiar with, thus never getting to hear the greatness that is Buckethead. Now let\'s imagine that this same kid goes home and decides, "Hey, I\'m gunna check out some music from that Buckethead" so he goes onto YouTube and looks up a few songs or maybe downloads an album or two, and he is suddenly hooked on Buckethead. He then decides that these are the albums that he is going to buy from now on and he goes back to the store and buys the Buckethead album and starts getting more off of this site and what not.

I can easily say that if I had never originally downloaded Buckethead music then I probably never would have got in to him and spent as much money as I have on him (probably more than any other artist.)

As the Canadian judge said when decided whether downloading music should be illegal or not, "downloading a song is no different than going into a library and photocopying a page from a book."

I don\'t think there is any problem with downloading music as long as it is to get a taste of artists, especially for an artist like Buckethead who\'s albums aren\'t exactly easy to obtain, atleast not in Canada... they pretty much need to be ordered online with a few exceptions.

P.S: Can\'t wait for my CDs to get here. ;D Hopefully they\'ll come fairly quickly like BR did and not get held up in Customs like Spinal Clock.

I hear you on Canada law and don\'t want to address choice of law questions.  I really like Canada and its laws.  However, the InterNet has caused great difficulties, a whole bunch of them, in copyright law and the protection of intellectual property worldwide.  If anyone wanted to copy one of the books I wrote on a machine, the copying charge will be more than the cost of the book and the copy store owner will have problems under U.S.A. law.  If the copy-er conveys the copies to a third party, copyright law applies and it is not O.K.  Nevertheless, I apologize if I stepped over the line in my statements and all my comments were purely California-specific.

It appears that most folks on this board have honorable intentions, buy their Buckethead music in an honorable manner, and understand how spoiled we bots are in the first place.  In any Country or nearby dimension, it\'s good to know that the Bucket is shown this respect by those who love and appreciate him [and Travis is our hero].

Ahhhhh . . . yay for me!  My new CDs just land on my desk!!!!!!!!!!

Haha nice, and this is where being Canadian has a downside... Having to wait longer for Buck\'s CDs. :P

I wonder what the asian female voice means?

Aside from Harma Nooder at the end there, I can\'t make out what she is saying, at all.
But I do get a chuckle out of it.
