I wasn\'t suggesting you had to change it, it\'s just I have this thing where I don\'t like knowing anything about Buckethead other than what he tells us, which includes what his face looks like.
I know that was off Secret Recipe (or Young Buckethead?) but whatever.

Thanks for changing it, anyway. ;D

Getting back to the banjo...

On the clock part, each of the clock hands (hour and minute) would have its own resonant frequency.  I\'m going to guess that Buckethead will be using these resonant frequencies to get a bit more twang out of that banjo.  I can\'t wait to hear this album.

^I don\'t think the clock hands are really on the banjo.
I think they were photoshopped in. Or at least they wouldn\'t have been there while the banjo was in use.

Travis confirmed in this thread that that instrument is NOT played on this. Seriously! 6 guitar strings + 8 mandolin tuning pegs + banjo body + spine neck + clock hands = REALLY doesn\'t exist.

The only thing I\'m sure of is that Bucket plays a Banjo Guitar on this, which is a guitar with a banjo body and tone.

The other thing I noticed is how the strings are routed through the spine on the banjo, then they come out at the bottom.  I think this would have the effect of shifting the pitch of the instrument waaaay up.  Going to be an interesting piece of work here from Buckethead, I think.

Well, we will all know soon.

I think the clock hands create a wormhole to the past, allowing Buckethead to harness the power of slaughtered chickens and unleash it through the resonator. Either that, or they absorb energy, then send it across the earth to play a ginormous theremin. OR they make Buckethead rich by attracting people to the album artwork. Shiny!

Here\'s a new theory: There\'s a convertor mechanism in the spine that takes the 6 guitar strings and makes 8 mandolin strings from them. That way, those 6 strings can be tuned with a higher frequency range and keep precision.

Captain Obvious says:

"I think the artwork is cool because the strings of the instrument are like spinal cords."

Random surfer dude says:

"Like, I like, think that, uhhh, it\'s cool and all because the instrument\'s, um, like strings are all spinal cordy and stuff."

Random hill folk person says:

"Now, y\'all know that there album art\'s a-fine lookin\' cuz o\' them thar strings lookin\' like they be comin\' from the spine of the instrument."
