Huh?  I think people are reading WAY too much into this.  I did not read it as an announcement of his retirement at all.  I think he was just trying to excuse away how long Bucketheadland has gone without an update.

Very sad to hear that SLIPDISC snuck into the park... Slippery devil creating mayhem the dasterdly diabolical character dodged Buckethead\'s incredible sonic blast frequency.  


Thank YOU Buckethead for all you do...going the distance and beyond to please our gory headstumps. Bingefesting away as we wait your return to Bucketheadland A True Wonderland of JOY!

Well I simply refuse to live in a world without Buckethead, so I am going to do whatever I have to to convince myself all is groovy.

well, since Buckethead is getting some animatronic parts replaced, there could be many reasons:

1) he could be sick, and is needing rest.

2) he needs to upgrade his costume, maybe trying to find his old KFC bucket again.

3) he wants to upgrade his sexy les paul yet again.

4) he is on the way to plan a world tour.

5) he is planning to reunite the Deli Creeps.

6) he needs to get new guitar equipment.

7) he is thinking of releasing his Disneyland album

he is thinking of working with Serj again to make another Enter the Chicken album (think about the time span between Cuckoo Clocks and Enter the Chicken: 18 months).

just some possibilities
remember, its a new decade.

Buckethead has been busy working on something wonderful and cool - but of course, what else would he be doing?  Anyhow, then, something came up - with the animatronic parts and such - and he had to take a break.  The first thing he did was let us know he appreciates us - and since it will take longer to finish what he was busy with, he wanted to let us know, so we won\'t worry

Never fear! More wonderful and cool stuff to come!

Apparently I\'m the only one that remembers the home page of Bucketheadland changed when he released SotP? Perhaps he is alluding to a new album with this, much I like alluded to SotP with the pic change to him in front of a huge LeBron poster...

I\'d say he\'s fine besides running himself on empty. He probably just needs some well deserved time off. And I guarantee that if he doesn\'t record for awhile he\'ll just explode with ideas when he does again, so i think all is well.

I\'ll choose the website theory. No real changes other that the occasional splash page for a long time, perhaps he will finally introduce a website that provides more info to his fans. Bucketheadland.com was cool, but way overdue for an overhaul.
