Finally, I bought the three records.

I received Funnel weather this morning and must admit to being a bit disappointed. I don\'t really see the interest of this record. It sounds like a succession of parts with no links between them. Some of these parts would deserve to be developed into real songs instead of just: renrenrenren, here\'s a riff, here\'s a song. I don\'t know, I\'m gonna listen to it again tomorrow to see if it grows on me.

I should receive Colma and Population soon, I\'m looking forward to listening to them.

I loved that one from the first listen.
There are bands making whole 5 minutes songs from one riff, or even full albums made from one riff... Here is the opposite. This album has enough material for 10 others.  This shows in one album the prolific potential of Buckethead.

Also, I love the particular sound of this album.

I hope you will love it better at the second listen.

I like Funnel Weaver a lot, though it is as good as Colma or Population Override.  As a general rule of thumb I like to listen any album 3x before forming a solid opinion of it.  Sometimes I'll even listen to it 5x before giving up on something.  Sometimes you have to "hear" the music before you really HEAR the music, if that makes senses.  I\'d hang in there with FW it will be worth it in the long run.

Funnel Weaver is a fun ride the turns are sharp and and hair raising at times, I wish Buckethead would overlap ala over the 2 or 1:30 minute mark, but as I remember from along time ago someone said this album was ment to be remixed or looped by ?....

I\'ve just been listening to some tonight, and of the ones Travis lists right now, Population Override is a clear favourite. Of B\'s earlier ones I have to agree with Colma, and I also really enjoy Electric Tears. They just carry me off to other worlds.

Colma is excellent to introduce someone to B\'s music. It is outstanding.EMAC is superb but I wouldn\'t start out with it. I think BOTH the Giant Robot CDs are musts. And or course Bucketheadland 1. It will just keep growing on you until you end up like me with over 30 titles. My advice is to get them as soon as they are released because sometimes they can get pretty expensive if they get OOP. TD has been a godsend so purchase from him by all means.

I don\'t usually bring back threads from the dead, but I\'m in the hunt for the Cobra Strike stuff, Travis, and I wondered if there\'s any word on the restocking of those two CDs? I\'d rather get it from you than anywhere else.

Both Cobra Strikes are currently being repressed by ION records. With some luck I will have them here.
