Hello everyone

If you all don\'t mind, I would like to introduce myself.
My Name is Heather and I am 25 years old. I started playing various instruments when I was 6. My father encouraged my brothers and I to learn life through music.
I grew up listening to Irish folk, Gospel, country-bluegrass,soul,jazz, classic rock, 80\'s rock, alternative, southern rock. You name it, I listen to it.
 I play guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and  I do sing but too shy at times lol

I enjoy reading. Mostly about History, folk lore, science, anything with Mid-evil history or fantasy. I enjoy learning about different religions and cultures.

I collect  swords. lol   can\'t you tell I love anything to do with Mid-evil times.

How I found myself to this board is pretty funny. I went to a concert a few years ago with a friend of mine and there was   this guy with a KFC bucket on his head and I looked at my friend and  asked her  if that was indeed what I was seeing.
I  thought his music  and playing was great, but his choice in fashion for hats was strange.
Anyways, my friend started telling me about his music and she told me that he has done a few projects with Viggo Mortensen and that is my favorite actor.  At the time, I had no idea Viggo did anything with music.
She started sending me a few CD\'s and I was amazed. So, I have stumbled up on this site and I am really excited about sharing things with you all.
 
Its nice to have a place to come to so you can get away from the day to day drama. I am a Law Enforcement Officer and before that I  was an EMT/Fire Rescue  Operator and sometimes, music cn heal the soul after you have had a bad experience   that day.

Hey Heather,  Very glad you could join the madness with the rest of us. Travis has the most comfortable chairs here in his house. Be sure to venture into some of the other rooms, there are some pretty awesome fixtures on the walls.
I think you will find your "mid-evil" comfort here, as some of us have done a bit of jousting, especially in the polictical thred.
