It\'s pretty phenomenal.  It\'s essentially Buckethead taking a stab at organized "Top 40"-like music.

and it\'s really... really good.  Really.

even the song i thought i wouldn\'t really like (Three Fingers)  I think is phenomenal.  It\'s all really good.

this and thanatopsis III may in fact make my life complete.

Jeffrae!

I really enjoyed most of this album minus the Serj parts and so on..

Don\'t Flame me, but I can not get into his vocals.. Sorry..

The CD has been in my car\'s player for 5 Days straight now..

I have a question about the song Colma.  Is this song influenced by Poe at all?  My friend is really into Poe, and she thinks that the song Colma is riping off Poe\'s singing style..  I doubt it.. I think it might just be the same genre.

Thanks,
Jeff

I didn\'t dig Serj\'s vocals that much, but then I heard "waiting here" and was quite impressed.  He\'s got some neat pipes, he\' just usually yelling.

I\'m really struggling with Enter The Chicken, it just doesn\'t do it for me at all. Nottingham Lace is awesome of course, and I\'ve loved Dungeon Stilt (Botnus) for yonks but I can\'t get into the vocals on this version. They just seem bog standard. I always end up turning it off and listening to a live instrumental version.

I think the reason I have a problem with the album as a whole is that the vocals end up being the focal point, I don\'t know if it\'s because they\'re too high in the mix or the fact that the singing is practically non-stop, but I just feel like the music doesn\'t have any room to breathe - it\'s totally smothered.

The only new track I really like is The Hand - Bob\'s vocals are nuts and fit so nicely with Bucket\'s style. They just sound different. They\'re also lower in the mix coincidentally.

Enter The Chicken is the first album Bucket\'s done that I\'ve been disappointed in. Give me Cuckoo Clocks, Island of Lost Minds, Axiology or Population Override over it any day of the week.

I also got Kaleidascalp yesterday and it hasn\'t left my player. Outstanding stuff.
