EL TOPO - movie recommendations

it\'s really cool that EL TOPO has come out on dvd and is has become available to purchase, for the first time, in 2007.

this is a very intriguing film.  has anyone seen and enjoyed / not enjoyed it?  it is of course, on the list of movies sampled by Buckethead

anyhow, i recommend the movie.

Thank you for starting this thread nuff    I agree totally!! I\'ve been telling everyone i meet about EL TOPO!!     It has been at least a week since i saw  it and my heads still spinning...yes it\'s great!!
why duh me didn\'t think to start this thread!! I bought it the very night that I watched it.  

EL TOPO  is an amazing journey...and like In Search of The is for me still...once is not enough...

Possibly impossible for words to capture the total impact and feeling of ELTOPO. My mind like a hungry dog, and a curious cat...from the first scene to the very last...i was spell bound. The visual symbolism is powerful...symbol-xplosion. Trippy. I hope those who take the time to see ELTOPO approach it with an open mind...and a sense of curiousity. I found it touched deeply and ignited continulally emotions and thoughts...it spans the most primitive to most complex. You may feel "positive but not sure" more than once.

A journey through the sprial... digging/ reaching... the truth,an unending quest for perfection, gratification, and knowledge. Finding acceptance / rejection, blind faith, love, hate, enlightenment, prejudices, greed, power, control. humiliation vs humility, cheating...the consequences good vs evil, life vs death. (I understand that honey never spoils) Self satisfaction and killing...winning regardless of cost...victories it may seem but no one wins... lost.

The circle of life... fleeting innocence of youth, childhood lost, accelerated "maturity" middle age, eventual wisdom of the sage ...action of spiritual death meets reflection and rebirth blossoms, yet...impending physical death is certain...too soon.  Life returns...and the circle churns.

hardly covers it all...

 cut to the chase? ok It is a stunning and significant movie...it is truly a pleasure to watch...
EL TOPO = The Mole ...highly recommend youz seize it

Note: a friends let me know that The english voice dubs are more dramatic than the sub titles...
I watched it first with the sub titles...next time it\'s the dub   
 
Watch it both ways   EL TOPO is GOOD!
