How to start your day with a positive attitude:

1.      Create a "new folder" on your computer.

2.      Name it "George W. Bush"

3.      Send it to the trash.

4.      Empty the trash.

5.      Your computer will ask you: "Do you really
want to get rid of "George W. Bush"?"

6.      Answer calmly, "Yes", and press the mouse button firmly!
 ;D

Peace,

just think, a week from today, we get to rise up and do it for real and for good!  help everyone you can to get their vote in = drive people to the polls, encourage people to put their vote where their t-shirts are, give young people confidence that their vote really will make a difference.

together, we can send this administration packing and take back not just the White House, but the VOTE!
Peace.

An encourageing thought. last night at the show, there were a lot of young people there and I can\'t tell you how many No bush T-Shirts floating around. All different sayings everywhere on everybody. I know that doesn\'t mean a whole lot as some may see it as a fashion trend , but I for one was encouraged to see all these young people expressing an opinion such as this and not afraid of it. Not sure how many of them could actually vote but it felt good. Just thought I would share that.

gkg

WOO-HOO!!  awareness is the 1st step!
Peace.

What a wonderful idea! If only it were that easy, George would have been out of a job a long time ago.

Hey all have to share this fun experience. Senator Kerry was just in town. He was a couple of blocks down from my office speaking at a park. His motorcade went right by the office on the way down there. I took a break and walked down to the park to hear him speak and that was very interesting. There were so many people so that was very encourageing. The thing that stood out for me that I thought was very good was that he talked about hope. He said we don\'t want to scare you like the republicans we want to give you hope. It was a very good speech all around touching on all the issues. I was very pleased with what he had to say. When he was done I made my way back to the office feeling uplifted, walked all the way with a smile. When I got back I noticed that the police were still hanging around so I figured he would be driving back the same way. One of the officers came in and asked to use our facilities and I asked if he was to be driving back by. He said yes, when I move my patrol car you will know he is on his way. So I rallied the troops and my co-workers and I made a couple of signs "Go Kerry/Edwards" and grabbed everybody from our office and upstairs from us and went outside to wait for him to go by. While we were standing out there waiting many people walked by coming from the park with the same uplifted smile that I had, I thought that was cool.
The motorcade came and we had our signs and we were screaming go Kerry and there he was sitting in the passenger seat of his vehicle on our side of the street. He waved with his big smile and gave us the thumbs up and we waved and screamed some more. It was really neat. Anyway it was a lot of fun for all of us so I had to share it with you. If you haven\'t taken the opportunity to vote earliy just remember to go do it on the 2cnd. VOTE VOTE VOTE

Another humorous thing, I\'ve been wearing my \'Gandalf for President\' button I got at Dragon*Con and, the other day, an older lady walked up, read my button, and asked me, "Gan-Der-Off?  Is he another candidate?"  :o

I, of course, politely explained who Gandalf was & she just smile and walked away.   ;D

It was amusing--thought I\'d share  ;)

Peace.

I am on it! We were all discussing that and out of the 9 of us standing out there everyone that can will vote.
I was suprised however to hear that there were still a couple who were un decided or had heard something that had changed their minds and then changed them back again. I said there are only 7 days left to figure it out so you better get on it!

i have such strong feelings about the chicanery this administration has used at every opportunity that it boggles my mind that some people are on the fence on this, let alone feel they can entrust this country\'s fate to Bush & Co. for another 4 years.  to each their own, and i know that all politics is fraught with deal making, but this has gone so far beyond the pale that i don\'t see how people can justify allowing it to go on, much less vote for status quo.

ah well - so long as people are out there exercising their right to voice their preference, which is at heart the fundamental power of this democracy.
Peace.

UNDECIDED ?  ?  ?

What could people possibly be undecided about?

Have they NOT been paying attention?

Maybe they should look at their Income Tax returns for the last four years and compare them to the previous 4.

Or........

Go to the library and veiw tapes of all of dubya\'s speaches, and count the lies.... ad infinitum....

Dubya claims to understand the way the terrorists think. And he\'s right, he does, because he is just like them. He is a Christian Fundamentalist (read: extremist). He is trying to legislate HIS belief system on the rest of us and I\'ll be hog tied before I kowtow to HIS god (who incidentally is on Dubya\'s side in the election don\'t you know...).

Religous freedom in this country means you can worship the way you see fit.... OR NOT. I choose not, and resent any attempt to enforce this beleif system on me.

Dubya has has made "Christian" a curse word in the rest of the world. His blinders are as large as the terrorists. It is unmovable narrow mindedness.

Even though I am an Agnostic, I belive that a person can have faith with out enforcing on others. That they can lead, and represent us well to the rest of the world, but they MUST be OPEN MINDED.

Maybe Dubya is just too obtuse to extend himself that much.  :-X

thanks Beatnik - i\'m glad to have someone else put it into words - sometimes i feel like i\'m Maggie the Cat, running around sounding like the house is on fire - thing is, the nation\'s on fire and not enough people are aware of it.

"If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier - just so long
as I\'m the dictator."
George W. Bush, 18 December 2000

this was before he even took the oath of office.

i\'ve been slammed by people who say my "No More Blood for Oil" t-shirt (Max bought it for me, some of you can guess where from) is "naive" - i want them all to read Michael Krane\'s book "Blood and Oil" and come back to me with their thoughts.

the book is full of information, much of which i knew or had heard about - but laid out so clearly and simply that only a complete fool could read that and not have some light start to dawn.

i wish i thought Bush was obtuse - but i think he is actually very sharp, clever and cunning - and allows himself to be manipulated only so much - the rest is his own grand design to leave a mark on this nation...  rather like a famous eurpoean leader in the 30\'s.
Peace.
