You know I think languages are the unique representative voice, of our collective soul. And saying that, some would read and think I must know quite a few myself.
No.
However I love to hear other dialects, because though I don\'t understand what is said, I love to hear the music  in the voice. I don\'t know the words, yet it\'s important to hear the song.

The music on BB2 is compelling, and I can only imagine sitting in the audience and feeling the energy of the poets, the musicians, the visionaries, that dare to sing.

Viggo was amazing, as usual and because he\'s one of the Artists related to Travis, I had to share.
The piece dedicated to Rodriguez,  titled, "Catalan De Otonyo" (sp? there is no play list, so I\'m guessing here), is akin to a liquid meditation.  (imho)

Sounds weird I know, but if/when, you listen to this Spanish language poem, I have a feeling I won\'t be alone in hearing it that way.

It\'s truly worth the wait  to find out what speaks to you, from the words of others.

Georganne Deen is [glb]TOTALLY[/glb] awesome!  our friend John Navarro in San Antonio turned us on to her when we lived there but we never got to Houston to see her.

i can\'t say it enough - she rocks.  she\'s actually how we came across Perceval...  we had moved to SF area and i was trying to find stuff online about her, i did some web searches and discovered her book for sale there and a notice that she was going to be in our area.  we bought the book at the reading so i could get her to sign it.  she\'s shy in a funny way - Georganne was trembling more than i was.  she was up here teaching an art class, she did a few readings and naturally we went.  for my birthday as a gift to myself i screwed up my courage and asked Georganne to join Max and me for a drink, and the gracious woman spent over an hour with us.  oh man she is just wonderful and if you like her writing but don\'t know her art, you have GOT to check it out.

although "Miniskirting" is a term i coined over a decade ago my poem of the same name wasn\'t written until after going to see Georganne for the first time.  the energy just flows from that gal.  oh man, i just can\'t say enough.

Oh wow, gkg. That must have been a fun time. I too found her book via PP and is how I found out about her and oooh sooooooo glad I did. Another example of why independant places like PP and TDRS are such fantastic places to be!  Her artwork is truely awsome. I of course loved what was in the book so  I had done a search myself to see what eles I could find and she is really great.  Thanks for the link! To bad I am not closer to Toronto, there has been so much goin on there in the art world.

Toronto is fabulous - we almost moved there, and probably should have.  i had been offered a job in San Antonio so we went there, but in many ways i think it would be great to have moved there instead.  much harder now.  San Antonio was good in many ways though, not the least of which was John turning us on to Georganne!

a Toronto artist to check out is Holly Farrell - not anything like Georganne\'s work but in the style that Holly chooses to work in she is fantastic.

it\'s not just art - Toronto is great for music and film folks too.

Yes Toronto seems to be full of it. he he.. I hope the international art fair went well for Georganne, and everyone else too. I understand that was a very big event up there. There was also the Body soul and spirit expo happening at the beginning of September that would have been awsome to attend. So yeah that place is hoppin!

I\'m so glad to hear good things about BB2, can you believe that I received it 2 days ago and still have not listened to it? (kick, kick, kick)  :\'( :\'( :\'(
 I have been busy with work, horses, and mild heat stroke   , I have to keep my horses worked (and this is only my hobby) so cooler weather can not come soon enough for me! As I rest up tomorrow I will put on the head phones and listen and relax. Can hardly wait. Thanks everyone for sharing your delight in BB2, and look forward to hearing more, of it and about it.
