It\'s been awhile (I think) since anybody\'s asked but are there any news items about a possible future CD (or MP3 download) re-release of Vince\'s amazing score for "Transformers The Movie"(1986), particularly since we were recently able to get- for the first time ever- his similarly amazing original score for Rocky IV.  The 2007 re-release of the entire "Transformers The Movie" soundtrack to the movie was great and I loved the added score tracks but I have been hopeful that we might eventually get a full (re-)release of the score.  The original Bot-Con-related score CDs are INCREDIBLY hard to come by and even when they\'re available on eBay, they\'re in such high demand that prices typically end up exceeding what I can afford to pay for it and have decided to more or less just wait for a proper re-release if and when it is ever offered.  So, how about it?

Thanks for the suggestion.  I\'ll give it a try.  BTW what software did you use to splice the two tracks together?
I just got the CD and am REALLY enjoying it!  My favorite tracks are "Apollo\'s Death And Funeral" and "Up The Mountain".  I also like the movie score versions of "War" and "Training Montage", as well as Vince\'s arrangement of the "Theme from Rocky" that opens up the album.  Great job, Vince!!!  Hope Intrada sees fit to eventually re-release your other soundtrack "gem"!

Cool!  Thanks for the tip!  What track is it supposed to be?

Cool!  Hope this is a sign of things to come (hint....hint....Transformers The Movie score....)

I can\'t wait to pick up a copy but I was wondering if the movie ("definitive") version of "Hearts on Fire" with Vince\'s awesome synthesizer "outro" is (or will be) available anytime in the near future?  I found it posted on imeem website awhile ago but it\'s since been removed/can\'t find it.  I\'d love to have that version of the song.

Thanks for the information.  It would be nice if you could find more video game soundtracks out there.  I know that there are a ton of video games soundtracks that I\'d be running out to buy.  As for Vince, I\'ll just continue checking back here (or his space on Mind Dawn).  I\'m, frankly, still pining for the rest of his score from TF:TM.  Seeing as how they\'re releasing a new TF movie (and re-releasing the first season of G1) this year, it seems like it would be a perfect time to get a TF-related release out.  He did it in 2007 with a re-release of the original TF:TM with some added instrumental tracks.

I\'ve been eagerly waiting for some more great music from Vince DiCola and wanted to know if he has any new releases planned for CD/download?  BTW I\'ve been enjoying his periodic FREE single releases such as "Everyday is Halloween" and "Bound & Gagged".  I\'ve also been exploring some of his awesome work with Thread.  If anybody has any information about any upcoming releases, please pass it along.  Thanks! ;D

QuoteFrom what I know is that Vince wrote a song or two... I could be wrong about the ammount of song\'s though, for Rocky 4... I think.... or was it Rocky 3??? ::)

Anyway I do know he did wrote some songs for a Rocky Movie, though I\'m not sure if he wrote new ones for the Rocky Balboa Film. I thought that they used one of the song\'s of the previous Rocky movies.

The two songs I know about ar "War" and "Training Montage". Both pieces of art in Music. :D

Vince actually has a track that he composed for either Rocky Balboa or Rocky V (Vince can  clarify which one) available for purchase/download at Mindawn (https://www.mindawn.com/index.php) entitled "Rise of the Champion".  I downloaded it out of curiosity and thought it was a great track.  For those familiar with his score for Rocky IV, it sounds kind of like a blend of "Training Montage" and "War" with a variation of the "Rocky Theme" thrown in there.  The music on Mindawn is available in DRM-free .Flac or .Ogg formats.
There is also a bunch of his other music from his other work (i.e. Thread, Storming Heaven) available there to download as individual tracks.  Check it out.  His work with Thread is particularly good.

I\'m excited to hear that Vince may eventually release some of the music he composed for the live-action Transformers (2007).  Hopefully, we will get a complete soundtrack recording of the original animated Transformers (1986) eventually as well. ;-)

I actually did (privately) ask him once before about a year ago (I think) and he hinted that he may eventually re-release the rest of the score at some point but wasn\'t definitive about it.  I think that part of the issue is him trying to get the rights back to the music from somebody (3H Enterprises?  Sony?). It\'s kind of weird for musicians to have to fight to get back the rights to music THEY themselves composed?
This year, with a new TF movie being released would, of course, be the perfect time to get other TF material out but I\'m sure he\'s got a bazillion other (more current) projects ongoing.
I\'d LOVE to get a copy of either "Til All Are One" or "Lighting Their Darkest Hour" but haven\'t had much luck finding a copy.  If anybody here knows where I can pick up a copy, PLEASE let me know!!!!

QuoteA friend picked it up for me at BotCon 1998.

God, I am SOOOO jealous!!!!  I wish that I had still been into Transformers around that time and I might\'ve been able to score a copy.  I\'ve been craving a copy of the full instrumental score since the movie was re-released in 2000!!!  When they re-released the soundtrack back in 2007 I was elated to learn that Sony remastered and released some additional pieces from the score (Moon Base Shuttle Launch, Megatron Must Be Stopped, Unicron Medley, Transformers Theme-Alternate w/Stan Bush) but disappointed that it still wasn\'t the complete score.  Maybe someday.............????

Thanks for the link.  It was awesome!!!!  It\'s only too bad that I couldn\'t have been there when THAT was going on.  To have both Stan Bush AND Vince DiCola there and to have seen them LIVE would\'ve been a rare treat indeed!

Oh.  I thought this was a new song.  I had already downloaded it when it was first posted.  Cool song.  I hope it got picked up for the movie.  It would fit in perfectly.  As it stands however, it\'s still a great song on its own.  It was cool seeing the video that got put together from a bunch of robot movies including my own personal favorite: Transformers The Movie (1986)

QuoteThe song I already knew. Downloaded is a couple of months ago... but a complete video clip... this is awesome. I love it... and yes... I want more.

This is a great find Sportee

Where did you download the song?  Could you provide a link?  Thanks!  I love hearing new music from Vince.
