<Sigh> I\'m thankful to be alive, but bummed nonetheless   :(

I had tickets for my son and I to see Bucket at Summer Meltdown today in Darrington, WA, but due to a idiot driver we were in a car accident on the way to the concert earlier today (Saturday).  We both had seat belts on, so we had bumps, bruises and a few cuts, but car was trashed.  I\'m glad we\'re both in good health, but even my son (12 year old) was bummed about not seeing Bucket today.

Oh well, tickets aren\'t worth anything now, so I\'ll have to figure out another time we can see him, since this was his only scheduled appearance in WA (we missed Seattle early in tour).  I\'m going to listen to Electric Tears and ponder the good life we have despite this setback.

I\'m really bummed that I missed Buckethead during his stop in Seattle during the Pacific Northwest leg this past March!  ???   Couldn\'t be helped due to son who was super sick.  Alas, I told him we\'d have to catch Bucket on his next tour.

In the meantime, thanks to Bucket for letting people post concert footage on YouTube, since we at least got to see him that way.

Glockenspiel just evokes all sorts of wrong, but what a great name and a great instrument.

Of course, I realize this would be a huge risk for most groups, but most groups don\'t compose in the way Bucket does AND they fit themselves into a tidy little box...something BigB doesn\'t.

Also, consider that most groups would struggle, since there are lyrics to consider and how they fit the "music style".  The instrumental aspect of Bucket would meld with the orchestra without regard to lyrics and standard time.

It would be a risk, but then again, that\'s what makes Buckethead so epic is that he\'s not unwilling to do that AND he doesn\'t have a record company telling him "don\'t do that" BS.

True, perhaps what I mean is perhaps instead of live ochestra with Bucket is to weave some orchestra tracks into the songs.  Note:  I love Bucket\'s music the way it is, but when I heard the orchestra version of "I Love.." it enhanced it.

Just a thought, but not from the songs lacking, rather to enhance them (like adding a little steak sauce to an already fabulous New York Strip!!!)

Perhaps it\'s only me, but one of the coolest BH songs is "I Love My Parents" from Giant Robot NTT that includes the orchestra.  How cool would it be to have a Buckethead Live CD with an orchestra?  Soothsayer with orchestra crescendos, Sail on Soothsayer with calm then crushing toward the end, how about "Watching the Boats with My Dad" complimented by violins, oboes, cellos, etc?

I know he wouldn\'t be the first rock star that played with an orchestra, but think of how complimentary the music would be to each other AND without being muddied up by lyrics!!!!

What do ya\'ll think????

I\'m left-handed, but play guitar right-handed.  It goes back to my youth when my brother taught me to play golf with right-handed clubs.  I do some things left handed and other things right-handed.  It so happens that the golf thing caused me to learn to play guitar right-handed too.  Note that there were few left-handed guitars in the early 70s, so icons like Hendrix flipped a right-handed guitar upside down.

It\'s clear that Bucket has a creative sound in his head to create his epic masterpieces.

Okay, I know that nothing/b] compares to Big B\'s actual playing, but for those of us who want to act like him have yet another avenue.  Today Activision released the Rock Virtuoso pack for Guitar Hero III.  It\'s includes Satriani\'s "Surfing with the alien", Vai\'s "For the Love of God" AND <drum roll>  Buckethead\'s "Soothsayer".

I\'m downloading the pack right now for my Xbox 360 and expect to be putting my mask and bucket for some virtual shredding.  What a great group of shredders and congrats to Big B for being one of the most requested shredders whose songs should be in GH games, on the gamer forums.

I\'d expect that there will be another wave of bots coming out of the woodwork after getting this.  Now, I wonder if they\'ll create Guitar Hero: Buckethead, since THAT  would be a game I\'d pay full price for.  Perhaps they could even include a bucket and mask in the "collector\'s edition".

Yep, that\'s a bucket on my head, cause I\'m happy to see ya!

Help, anyone with the knowledge.  I found the following recording of "I love my parents" on Youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwXlzy9k7jI&feature=related

I\'ve searched all over, but couldn\'t find out if this was recorded by Bucket or if someone combined his recording with an orchestra version from somewhere else.  Either way, it\'s a fresh take on a beautiful song and one that I listen to virtually every day!

Not sure if Bucket ever reads the forums, but I just wanted to say that the final cut "Sail on Soothsayer (In Memory of Aunt Susie 1932-2007) is a beautiful tribute to a family member who obviously meant an awful lot.

Bucket:  Sorry for your family loss, but Aunt Susie floats on the sound of your strings as this is played throughout the world!  Listening to this draws out so much emotion from me of the loss of numerous family members (dad, brother, grandparents).  Thanks for another great CD and especially this final track!

I just got Bansheebot and Kevin\'s Noodle House in the mail today.  Thanks for the fast service Travis!!!!!

To answer your question...I think Bansheebot is a combination of the EMAC, soulful playing of Electric Tears and Colma, the variety of Pepper\'s Ghost and a sprinkling of the speed metal of Death Cube K.  Mix it all up and you get one of the tastiest wedges this side of Inbred Mountain.

There are fantastic shards through the entire CD and I really fell in love with the final cut "Sail on Soothsayer" (In Memory of Aunt Susie  1932-2007)  The soul and playing throughout this song will inspire and haunt you.  It drew up so many emotions for me.

I\'ll be spending some time with Kevin\'s Noodle House over the next few days and will give my impressions after that.

Decoding the....has tasty wedges for just about every Buckethead fan.  There\'s the rocking of EMAC, variety of Pepper\'s Ghost and soulful playing of Colma and ELectric Tears.

The song that surprised me was the final cut "Sail on Soothsayer" In Memory of Aunt Susie (1932-2007).  Buckethead\'s loss and tribute can be felt throughout the song.   It draws so much emotion and I found myself listening to it over and over.

This is a definate "MUST BUY" for every Buckethead fan!!!

I\'m a relative newbie to Buckethead, but I\'ve been purchasing as much as I can.  I\'ve also been watching alot of the fantastic footage on YouTube...thanks Buckethead for letting yourself be taped, since I haven\'t been to a concert yet.  (I missed your last show in Seattle area and am waiting for your return)

Okay, for those more experienced bots I\'m wondering about some background on some of the Bucket\'s songs:

Soothsayer - this is dedicated to Aunt Suzie.  Is that Bucket\'s aunt?  There is so much joy and sorrow I feel, while listening to this song.  It seems like he\'s pouring his entire soul into the song, perhaps for a lost loved one??

Watching the Boats with My Dad - so peaceful and you can imagine Bucket sitting with his dad and seeing the boats glide by.  I feel the peace and some loss, since my dad passed away when I was 15 and we never got to sit quietly and watch the boats.  Listening to this gives me a sense of being with him in spirit.

Too Many Humans - perhaps the robot in us all feels the tearing of the soul-wrenching music, wondering.

Mrs. Beasley - the character from Alice in Wonderland or another person from Bucket\'s past?  This song is sorrowful and you feel the anguish of reaching out to what is unreachable.

There are other songs that are meaningful and pull out emotion when I listen to them; some soft and some face-melters from Bucket.  Can anyone fill in the blanks of some of these songs background?  Or perhaps just describe specific songs and what you feel or consider while listening to them?

Keep up the fantastic work Bucket and Travis!  More bots are entering the coop after I have them checkout some of the fantastic shards!

Any ideas on this project between Bucket and Marcus (the GHII guitar god)?

Should be some fantastic shredding and mind-blowing wedges, shards, and other mind-melting coming out of the coop, eh?

I just ordered my wedge and am hoping it arrives this week.  I\'m pumped to hear it and add it to my collection.  Thanks BH for your fantastic sound and work...we bots love it!
