Why do they have to be role models?It\'s a free country, they can be whatever they want...it\'s a great movie and they are "entertainers"...that\'s all....

This guy doesn\'t make any statements for months and then this is the first thing out of his mouth...something fishy going on here....wonder how official that statement is,exactly.....

Maceo is a living legend....part of James Brown\'s late 60\'s band, therefor rndering him the most sampled sax player of all time. Not to mention his long stint with P-Funk,loads of solo work and albums w/ Pee Wee Ellis and Fred Wesley,Bootsy\'s Rubber Band and work w/ Bill Laswell and many others.
The albums you mentioned are great but do your homewrok and go back a bit to get the real nasty burnin funk...I\'ve seen Maceo many times and he always delivers....one of the best musicians funk and jazz has to offer....

Great point Chazuke...I\'m always telling people of the virtues of Skopelitis...a very overlooked and underrated guitarist...it\'s not just about Bucket on Unison....
#9
FYI,I go under the name mynutz on the Bucketboard...I use both ID\'s....

Run ,don\'t walk to get Unison.A beautiful, drifting album. The musicianship is top notch, production is flawless. The aesthetic is ambient dub,but it\'s so much more.Don\'t look for shredding Bucket solos,it\'s not that kind of thing. He does lay down some lovely stuff that really complements the music.Laswell\'s bass is upfront in the mix and is the backbone.Get this thing, for one of the best pieces of music you will ever own.I paid $30 for this one back when it originally came out and was a Japanese import only....I would gladly pay it again....flawless and highly recommended....

In many cases Laswell will use the titles:Praxis,Material or Sacred System for a solo work.Usually when contributing to a comp. That was the case, with Abstract Depressionism....
#12
He should continue to make music with whoever HE wants.....

You just made my weekend,Travis...never ceases to amaze....

That would not be a funny April Fools joke......
