I\'ll read just about anything including the cereal box but am primarily a sci-fi, fantasy junkie. Recently read  Patrick Rothfuss\' The Name of the Wind. Excellent read. sequel to follow anytime now.  Also two really good series are Weiss and Hickman\'s Death Gate Cycle and Tad Williams\' Otherland. Gotta love those alternate worlds! If you like Urban Fantasy, Charles de Lint\'s the man. Would also recommend George R.R. Martin, Robin Hobb and Jane Lindskold\'s stand-alone novels. Too many books, not nearly enough time to read them all...but I try.

I\'ve always been a big fan of the quirkier, indy flicks rather then the big blockbusters. Last really good movie I saw was Clint Eastwood\'s, Gran Torino.  I would probably recommend anything by Tarantino, Peter Jackson, John Carpenter or Tim Burton. Absolutely love, Warriors and Aliens. Next on my list of must-sees is District 9.

I\'ll never look at the Carina Galaxy the same again. Great observations.

I couldn\'t have said it better myself, Duckhead. One of the things I admire most about Buckethead and all of his contemporaries is the ability to take chances and move ahead. None of that, "staying in the comfort zone BS ", for those dudes.  It\'s always been a trait of those "Greats" of any genre who have pushed the envelope of popular opinion and demand and taken us to places we only dared to dream possible.  What a long, strange trip it\'s been and hopefully will continue to be. I know I got my bags packed!

Check out Somewhere over the Slaughterhouse although it\'s difficult to find. Also, if you are terminally bored while waiting for your CDs to arrive, take a listen to the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack. I think you will like it.

I got a skeleton mask :). Put it to good use too the following day. My kids and I were traveling back home by train which happened to be very crowded. On a whim, I suggested that my son put on the mask. Well let me tell you. Nobody took that extra seat. My daughter and I  were dying as we videotaped the whole episode. While very funny,  I found it to be a sad commentary on society as a whole when confronted with something different. I know I would have plopped myself right down and had a great ride home.

On Sept. 26th of this year I experienced my very first live performance by Buckethead. Needless to say I\'m still floating out there somewhere in the stratosphere trying to make it back down to earth but not really wanting to, either. I can only say that any recording you may have heard, any video you may have seen, pales in comparison. I\'m counting down the days until my next fix.  In the meantime, I would like to thank the two young gentlemen from Poughkeepsie who were kind enough to relinquish their front row spot so that this vertically challenged individual could see, the faceless arm that came down in time to prevent my being squished by an inebriated fan, and most importantly, Buckethead, himself, for making it possible to receive one of his gifts during the exchange. I will never forget it.
