I haven\'t had my SotP for a week and yesterday it was skipping in the car deck, when I took it out there\'s this gigantic and horrible scratch on the disc. Normally I\'m super careful with my CD\'s I just don\'t know what I could have done to ruin this one. I\'m so sad. I tried the old vegetable oil trick but this scratch is beyond fixable. I know that it wasn\'t like that when I got it, I must have done something really stupid with it. Double d\'oh!
It\'s hard enough budgeting to keep up with the new releases but if you have to buy them TWICE it\'s really awful. Note to self: BE MORE CAREFUL DUMBASS!

Dude do what i do keep them nice and in the case and just have a backup copie of it/toataly leagal it\'s just a backup.so if it breaks pish burn another

It\'s neat to look through my treasure chest of Buckethead and see which discs are worn and scratched up. It\'s almost a badge of honor because those slabs are the ones that got a lot of "love", i.e. I listened the crap out of them.
Now I\'m a bit smarter and I\'m re-buying them, then ripping them to the ol\' compy so I can make copies for the car, shower, kitchen, etc - gotta have Buck in every room, right? :)
I have several Buckethead cds that were harmed by my old portable cd player. The battery hatch was coming loose and the cds were rubbing against it as it spun. There are now huge circles etched into the cds. I did this to my copy of SOtS but got another one. Luckily this was before it was impossible to find. I have manged to replace the ones that were damaged.
Alright this this happened to me yesterday only with my Colma cd. Somehow i had another cd behind colma and went to slide colma in and it pulled the other cd in so colma was half way in and i pulled it out and ejected the other cd and went to work. I played through white wash then the rest of the cd wasnt playing so well then i eject it and look and 2 BIG scratches.
my life is ruined.
minutes ago I disturbed some sorta sticky courtship between my Fripp and Eno No Pussyfooting and Jeff Beck Live, CD\'s, Jeff fell down spilling out of its case and now has a might pertty good scratchy on it, listening to Jeff at the moment seems fine.
rolling thru the CD on headphones on loud (14-15) ...
My Buckethead CD that I worry about is Population Override, well used, much Loved, scratchy\'d as well.

I have actually considered buying another Population Override CD just as a backup, although now that I use an iPod I don\'t have as much need. Then again, I could get the new one autographed by Travis! ;D
