Title: Ques for Travis - How Many BH Diehards are there??
Post by: Mozy_Bot on February 28, 2008, 04:42:44 PM
Travis when a new BH CD comes out, how many CDs do you typically sell in the first week?  First two weeks?  First Month?  How long before the sales start tapering off?  Maybe use the sales from Decoding The Tombs Of Bansheebot as an example.  I\'m sure the sales are different for the experimental CDs like DCK and Kevin\'s Noodle House.

Just curious.

Well I would rather not be specific for various reasons but this is an underground artist, so the numbers are much different then a major lable artist.

It\'s an interesting question.  I\'ve been into Buckethead for years now and i feel that his music is becoming something really big, it just keeps getting better.  So i just imagined that fan numbers have increased tenfold.

Peace out

I like the mystery...me thinkz it\'s simply not about the volume ... a simple number would  hardly begin to reflect the utter devotion of his fans.

Music beyond measure...total psycho fun...
generosity and kindness... JOY!
essence of Buckethead...is beyond.

BIG HUGZ!  :)

I agree 100% with ZQ here.

I don\'t care if a band or artist has sold millions of albums or just 10,000.. as long as the music moves me in one way or another, then that\'s all I care about.

But the thought is intriguing..  8)

think that already been sold more than 999 In Search Of The only, that each one cost like $100 dollars, according to that only $99.900 on only that, if u calculate an estimate of 1000 or 2000 albums at 15 dollars each is like $15000 to $30000 and Decoding the tombs is already sold out (congratz on that Buckethead), and take the prices of making them and i dont know much but if travis takes a piece of that cake too.

i think Buckethead can live well with that and i really hope that the numbers continue growing.

Not every CD of ISOT was actually sold.

How do you know that?  How many were sold then?  I wonder how many complete sets were sold and how many partial sets were sold.  Was every # accounted for between complete and partial sets?

Those custom sets were $200 each.
