Will Buckethead ever make a Bluegrass themed cd with him on the banjo? That just came to my mind and that would be interesting. Maybe a cd with him on the piano? unless that has been done and im a little behind my time. Any thoughts on this?
I\'d like a cd of Buckethead playing all of the instruments he plays with atleast two tracks of them, meaning two tracks of him playing guitar, two of him playing bass, two of him playing piano, and two of him playing banjo, that\'d be a great cd :) that\'s all i know that buckethead plays, if he plays more id like to hear those too
yeah i know what you mean. I just got to thinking about all the instruments he plays and thought about possible future cds. ;D
That would be awesome. the he could learn to play trumpet and THE KAZOO!!! lol, that actually sounds like a good idea. Maybe play like 4 instruments at different times and combine them in one track
Ever since I heard Hog Bitch Stomp I\'ve dreamed of a full fledged Buckethead country album, but fused with his brand of playing!
John 5 may have beat him to it though, the whole country freak-shred idea. I still wish he\'d do it though.
I like Hog Bitch Stomp but a whole album of that type of stuff might be over doing it. Then again this is Buckethead I\'m talking about, and he is always full of surprises.
Yeah it would be a definite change of pace for him to release something like that. I\'d be interesting is a cd full of him on the piano mixed with other stuff. I have a feeling that something like this will happen eventually.
Since we are all on the fantasy train about BH\'s musical ability I would love to hear him sing, grunt or scream just once.

check him out singing in "Danyel"(Pieces) its "Wishing Well"(colma) with lyrics ;)

Thanks for the tip, that is one of the cds I don\'t have. I will have to find it now. Any other songs he vocalizes on??
the usual answer to this topic is : it\'s Herbie singing on Pieces. And not only on Danyel, but on 2 or 3 tracks on the album. And the rap track (Bobafi Crucify) is totally crazy. It\'s not Herbie this time.
Personnally, I also love Albert\'s singing from Bucketheadland 2. I would love a whole album of Albert singing with Bucket on acoustic guitar.
Excuse my ignorance but where did BH pick up the nickname "herbie"? Can you fill me in....

Hmm...Don\'t know for sure. Maybe he\'s a Herbie Hancock fan, or he grew up watching Herbie the love bug. I can\'t think of any other Herbies!
Edit: LOL^ It censored his name! You know who I mean though.
I always thought it might be a reference to Herbie - the robotic assistant to Mr. Fantastic. He was designed by Mr. Fantastic and Master Xar - using Xandarian technology of course....
Or he just thought it was a funny name for a severed head/bucketbot assistant.
Man, a country-inspired album by Buckethead would be amazing! A little banjo here, maybe a little acoustic guitar here, even some slightly off-key piano would add to the mood as well.
When I saw this thread, I immediately thought back to the banjo parts on Inbred Mountain, and I\'m hoping a potential country album by Buck would go in that direction. Like a bit creepy country, with some dark tones and nasty artwork to go along with it. Sort of like the continuation of Inbred Mountain, only no electric guitars and heavy distortion, more stripped down and bare, with a country feel to it. Really spooky, dirty and "inbred" country music to say the least.
Now THAT would be sick and awesome! 8)
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAW!
not a fan of country but some creepy desert tunes would be pretty cool, like a showdown at midnight in the cemetary.......... he could probably paint some good musical scenery of that type

LilZero, I think you might be onto something. In the inside artwork for Bucketheadland 2, there are some keychains. One says Herbie with the image of a robot that looks very similar to H.E.R.B.I.E. (Mr Fantastic\'s assisatnt in the comic book Fantastic Four). And being that Herbie stands for "Humanoid Experimental Robot B-Type Integrated Electronics" (and can fire energy blasts from its face), it may be a distant relative of Buckethead. I still haven\'t found a copy of Pieces yet, but I am looking.
And in keeping on the track of what this thread is about... Slunker & DUFFATRON nailed it. Spooky desert tunes would be very cool.
I read that BH plays banjo on one track on the 1997complilation album Refridgerator - anyone heard it?
