I was thinking, even with all of this years releases a fine way to cap it off would be a live cd. Unlikely, sure. Still, I wonder, ( hey, Travis ! ) any possible ( like, within the next two weeks, hehehe ) future plans for a live disc or set ?? Lots of stuff is freely traded, but that\'s how it\'s always been ( I\'ve been trading Zappa shows for 22+years ;D ) and I still buy every new release. Moving forward is always best, but releasing live cd\'s is pretty cool too ! The Buckethead collection/cannon needs a killer (official) live set ;)
A live set would be great, but I don\'t think a live set will be out this year. Maybe once Buckethead starts touring again then put out a live CD.
I don\'t really think there would be much of a point to a live Buckethead CD. He allows and encourages the taping and trading of his shows and there are hundreds of boots available, many of them great quality too.
A few years back he had a specific site set up for the sale of "Live Wedges". They were all recordings of the 2004 Giant Robot tour I think. So in summary, he has made tons of live material available already, you just gotta do a little searching.

I know that ;D I trade live music. I\'d still like an offficial release, wedge, slab, sandwhich, whatever ;) . Something special, mastered well. Songs selected that were highly thought of versions as chosen by the artist, cool package, etc. I respect your opinion, but I think there is a point. A live album would be cool.
I\'d definitely buy a Buckethead live cd if one was to be released. I\'m not a huge fan of bootlegs, I want the whole package more or less.
I\'d love to hear a 2-cd live album featuring a selection of some of his best live tracks (throughout his entire career if possible) put together into one neat and professional-looking package, I\'d buy that without a second\'s hesitation.

Well there is always the Praxis Tennessee live release. Thats a good place to start if you want a live release.

CD on Demand released Mishawaka and Langerado 2006 shows. Both are pretty kick-ass and sound really great. These might be as close to an official release as you are going to get...

Yep. Got \'em. Sadly they are often sold on ebay for silly amounts of money even though if you did a tiny bit or research you wilol find the website that sells them ( $17.00 each ( I think ) plus shipping.
I\'d love to see a Buckethead Live CD. :D So long as it was with a band, and not one of the one\'s where he used the drum machine or backing track. an official release would be good, cause it would be mastered better, and give more of the feeling of a live show.

Yep. Well said. I\'d also much rather hear a band than a tape, backing tracks, etc. Hell, for that matter I hope someday Buckethead builds a band around his level of playing skills for live shows. I mean.. I love Pinchface and all. He rocks. I just want to see it taken to the next level.
Well him and Les Claypool are a pretty good pair, though Les has other priorities. I can\'t really think of a drummer who could really keep up with Bucket, but Pinchface does a pretty good job of it, as does Brain.
Well, you all need to get the 3 live Praxis albums + Phonosychographic Disk - Turbulence Chest. Live Bucket WITH a band!

Hell yes !! All of those are great ( I have them ;D ).
I\'d like to see him play live with Terry Bozzio ( who still destroys behind a drum kit, large or small ;) ).
Even Bill Bruford, hahahaha. Kinda funny, but Bill also still kicks ass. Who knows, Buckethead seems to be full of suprises anymore.

Yes, I would say Buckethead is full of surprises, especially releases 27 CDs in one year. Buckethead is truly a psycho!!!

I wouldn\'t count anything out of the question yet... I mean honestly I thought the last release would be dttobb, KNH, and Cyborg Slunks.
I\'d like to see "Ghost Riders in the Dub" on a live wedge
