CS: Volume 14 of ISOT with the note that it is probably the best of the bunch. Crazy, trippy Acoustic Shards acid trip type track 2 and track 4 is a beautiful mellow wedge.
KNH: Sounds like Electric Tears, Bermuda Triangle, and ISOT rolled into one crazy, mellowish spring roll of musical delight.
DTBB: Right in line with EMAC and CSS. If that is what you are looking for, what are you still reading this for? Order it now!
I hope that helps people decide which albums are for them.
;D
Sounds like Kevin\'s Noodle House is my kind of thing.
Can you also tell me which are your favorites? Thanks man.
Nice! Sounds like I\'ll be lovin\' all of them, but I\'d be willing to bet that I\'ll like "Decoding..." the best. I love everything Buckethead, but I\'m partial to the crisp sound of EMAC and CSS, and if this one is anything like that I\'ll be one happy camper.
that\'s great news. I\'ve been waiting for some mellow buckethead stuff for ages

Cuz i m waiting for my copy to arrive in the mail ofcourse!!!!
:)
YES, i got it DTTOB in the mail today!
AND IT ROX!
Thank you Buckethead!
:)
Just wanted to update and say that DTBB is really probably more like PG in that it is sort of stream-lined and has a very coherent feel to the whole album. Definitely it is the one to get for heavy head-banging riffing. Oh, and KNH gets etter every time I listen to it. Just some really cool and interesting tracks on that one.
I got my cd\'s today! I may have to order slunks soon.
Decoding is like EMAC, CCS, PG, another EPIC solo release,I havn\'t givin the others there time yet. ;D
Track 4 on CS is just beautiful. If there is a heaven, this is what it sounds like.
Hey U Bots My CS skips on track 4 does anyone else\'s?
first at 4:03 then really good at 6:00... er there abouts.
It could also be due to the fact that I still have an old Sony CFD-50 Boombox and the laser is worn out?
it from the early 90\'s? I thunk...
I\'m not complaining and its kinda artsy but......................

Did you test it on another player?
Plays great on my computer
You guys are right on when comparing Tomb of Bansheebot to the other latest releases, like EMAC, CSS and PG. VERY COOL record!! Thank you again, Mr Buckethead.
Streamlined and flow are words I\'ve seen that totally make sense. With these record it seems that BH has really found his new sound. I know that\'s sounds kinda lame, cuz he\'s always had a sound. But before it was almost like more formula and schtick, than sound. Am I making sense?
These latest offerings are such great guitar instrumental albums. I love how they cover so many areas, and dip and dive around. From the speedy rhythms to the beautiful, "Population Override" type of vibe, I just dig how he\'s been piecing these things together.
"Disecto" is trippy, "I can only carry 50 chickens at a time" flat out rips and has a very distinctive sound. "Stretching Lighthouse" is a beaut, too.
And as always, great song names, a la Buckethead. "Checkerboard Incision" is my fav for that.
I haven\'t listened to Cybord yet and I\'ve only briefly listened to Kevin\'s Noodles. It\'ll be hard to get me out of the tomb, I know that much.
Thx again Big B!
The Van Halen quote early in on track 1 on Cyborg Slunks had me cracking up ! ?! ! ::)
Track 4 is beautiful.
DTTOB is super tight. Bucket and Monti, awsome as always 8)
Much to digest here.......
I love my new leg warmer !!!
;D
Chilln`in my BH lounge... fat (fett) one...
Great album!!!
thx!
Just finished ordering KNH and Decoding! Thanks for the short descriptions and I know I\'ll be loving them.
Enter the Waiting for the Chicken!!!!
I\'d say I\'d put my albums in more or less this order. From favourite to least favourite:
Popluation Override
Colma
Electric Tears
Chicken Noodles
Giant Robot
Monsters And Robots
Kaleidoscalp
Inbred Mountain
I like the ISOT though there are some fillers I think.
I also like the two Thanatopsis albums I own, especially Axiology but also Thanatopsis.
So which albums of the three new ones should I order?
Iceman24, that is tough. None of them are really like the ones you have on your list. I think CS is similar to ISOT. DTBB is most similar to PG and is a faster, heavier album. KNH is really a new thing, but I do think it has some elements of ET, but is really a lot different as well and more experimental sounding. It is overall the mellowest of the the three almost by default, and that seems to be your thing. Oh, there is a very mellow track on CS that is somewhat similar to PO. Sorry I can\'t be more help. You might want to check out either of the Shine albums or Shin Terai. They are really mellow albums that you might like.

Yes, I like his mellow stuff more, mainly because it\'s "normal". I mean, I love faster songs like Soothsayer or Nottingham Lace Nun Chuka Kata, but I\'m not that much of a fan of his songs with fast pace changes and stuff.
So that would be the Unison and The Light Years album, right?
What about his stuff with Viggo? Is it worth checking out? And if yes, which album?
Well, the Shine albums and Shin Terai are definitely pretty mellow. They are not really like the ones you had listed highly, but they are worth checking out, I think. As far as the Viggo albums...meh. Being something of a completionist, I have them, but I rarely listen to them. There are a few nice songs, but most of them are simply Buckethead fooling around with Viggo\'s spoken word poetry over it. Oh, and there is the very political one that instead of poetry has political quotes over it. I do have to say that "Why Do they Hate us?" is pretty darn cool. It has Buckethead playing the Lone Ranger theme (which is actually a classical song, but I can\'t recall its name right now). But overall, they should definitely be way down the list of things to get. I am trying to think of anything else that is mellow that you might like, but am drawing a blank at the moment.

I think I have to agree, I bought Please Tomorrow and was pretty disappointed. I would say he should get Acoustic Shards, Chicken Noodles and Thanatopsis\' Anatomize
QuoteDid you test it on another player?
NOW!
on My Panasonic sl-sx290 [48 seconds] ANTI-SKIP Portable its fine, mayhap its getting time to retire the Sony CFd er whatever its called.
I should clean out my Sansa MP3 Player and put it on there.

So which albums of the three new ones should I order?
We have similar tastes as far as Buckethead\'s music goes. I rate Colma as my fav with ET, PO, all the Thanatopsis and mellower albums right there with it. But I also like PG, which I would recommend along with CSS.
But to stay within the mellow music genre, Bermuda Triangle has some great songs on it. Only Track 4 of CS meets the mellow criteria. It\'s an 11 minute song and worth getting the album just for that song. You should also complete the Thanatopsis collection by adding Anatomize. Can\'t comment on the other two new ones, will be purchasing them both shortly.
decoding the tomb is going well, a lot of the rifs and drums remind me heavily of iron maiden at times (mostly the earlier portion of the cd) especially on ghost host and materilalizing ;D the disembodied
Decoding the....has tasty wedges for just about every Buckethead fan. There\'s the rocking of EMAC, variety of Pepper\'s Ghost and soulful playing of Colma and ELectric Tears.
The song that surprised me was the final cut "Sail on Soothsayer" In Memory of Aunt Susie (1932-2007). Buckethead\'s loss and tribute can be felt throughout the song. It draws so much emotion and I found myself listening to it over and over.
This is a definate "MUST BUY" for every Buckethead fan!!!
