Title: Giant Robot NTT Question
Post by: BHBoss on September 12, 2007, 04:08:54 PM
I downloaded this today and on a few songs there seems to be some static in the background, is this because it is of poorer quality since it was made in the 90s? If not that then what?

The static could come from any number of sources (perhaps a shoddy rip, bad speakers, whatever) but there isn\'t any static in the original songs from the CD.

Suddenly I feel very old.

I have an orig and don\'t recall any static. remember what you downloaded is not lossless, everything done to a song takes away quality. now maybe some of the sound bites he uses might have static, thats all I recall.  but there seems to be a little white noise in alot of songs, not necessarily on this one.

For example the crazy intro to Jowls I can hear it but it is really faint. There are a few other songs but I don\'t recall the names. Also, deconstruct don\'t feel old, I remember the 90s too.

Yeah he has a crappy rip - I directed him to lossless rip over at TK.
