Title: Buckethead guitar parts in new guns n roses album?
Post by: big_sur_hunk on February 23, 2006, 05:57:49 PM
Hey travis (or anyone close to Bucket), i was wondering if any of you could confirm if Bucketheads guitar parts will still be on Guns N\' Roses new album Chinese Democracy, especially as you can heavily hear him on the 3 recently leaked Guns N Roses demos playing most of the lead parts. I must say he sounds awesome

I could imagine that axl has the rights on the songs / recordings and if he´s not completely insane he will use buckets guitarparts for the sake of the quality of this release.

or he´ll go and re-record all bucket music with..... hmmmm.....welll.....who is able to replace  buckethead ?

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing.  The local radio station played a song from the new GNR disc and I didn\'t think any of the playing sounded Bucket-esque.
I didn\'t care for the song at all, either.  I wish I could remember the name of the song.

I think I remember reading that part of the 84th album delay was Axl having to re-record Buckethead\'s guitar playing after Bucket departed.  I would venture to guess that Axl had his(Buckethead\'s) playing replaced for royalty reasons alone, though I don\'t know squat about the music industry, I am just a machinist.  Either way, I feel Guns new one will flop.(In Axl\'s eyes, anyhow)

I do agree, however, replacing Buckethead is an oxymoron sort of statement.

In short, I would be very surprised to hear ANY Buckethead on the new CD.  It will save me $13.99 if Buckethead isn\'t on the disc.

I bet that prick Axl would steal some of the material Buckethead wrote, which since he was in the band for quite awhile, you have to assume he wrote some stuff.  Axl seems shady like that.  Buckethead not writing is like us not breathing...

yep this might be the one album Ill download off the web.  Ive hardly ever done that before for albums, but given the way Axl shot his mouth off in the press about the BMan, I wouldnt pay him shit.
