WOW I was totally wrong, nobody does silkscreen anymore, I for one still have my old art school comm. college Board an Paints, good they\'er large I can\'t stand those artisans whom paint those ity bity widl paintings. I\'d probably have a nervouse fit if someone wanted me to paint that small, I\'m Chris I flowt into conversations and uselly talk to my self here at TDRS. I Dig Bucketheads Music and Travis has been very kind in answering some of my crazyness that I write on this thing Internet.

Most resently I finished the fourth picture of myself in a stipplinglike Square Motife I call Patchworks, I\'m currently written a Poetry Book and makeing my 3rd Musical CD with a Guitar player and a Drummer, I play Bass.

thanks for the nice welcome!
but somebody please enlighten me - what is silkscreen?

silkscreen is a process in which ink or paint is printed onto fabric or paper pushing the ink/paint through a silk screen, a stencil or a "silkscreen medium" is used to create impervious areas through which the ink/paint can\'t go - leaving a void in those areas when the screen is lifted.  often you print several patterns overlapping, in various colors, to create the final piece.

db check out Andy Warhol, he hired peoples to produce his works.

kinda the same stuff as you\'r doing but with a diffrent medium.

I knew I\'d catch all artistic HEKK for saying " nobody does silk screen anymore " bad Chris Bad ( slaps back of hand ) ouch!

you\'re welcome.  it didn\'t look silkscreened to me, but since you asked what it was exactly i figured i\'d give you the info.

ah you\'re welcome DOD, but kindness didn\'t enter into it.  that was just plain honesty - it\'s a handheld marvel much enjoyed by its recipient, it\'s been hauled about to share with folks and now has pride of place on the coffee table for all to thumb through.

VERY cool - thank you for sharing that.  looking forward to being able to genuinely read the text rather than just pick through the parts i understood.

i could actually use some tips on cleaning a 100year old landscape i inherited - maybe i\'ll send you a message on the side.

here\'s a slice of a piece i\'m working on right now.

working on it slowly - it\'s 98 near my house during the day and we don\'t have A/C so i\'m trying to work in the evenings, but the light sucks.  may have to wait for a break in the heat wave.  80s i love, 90s are a bit much for painting.

I realize I\'m very late in posting to this thread, so apologies all...I haven\'t been to this board in months, and hadn\'t seen the new sections.

Felt compelled to tell d6: Your Buckethead piece kicks a$$...I really dig the way you incorporated text.  It\'s whimsical, dark, moody--all at once, just like the mysterious mystery that is Buckethead.  <3

beware the maintaining aspect!  i\'ve been trying to update my site for two months with no time - it\'s all OLD... finally killed the link off the index... will get it back in action soon.

I\'m looking forward to your site, d6!!!!
