Title: what damages cds like this???

OK I have a few cds that look like this around the edge, it is hard to see the tiny details that look like tiny little squiggles? Anyway, does anyone know what causes this?

hmmm its maybe CD Rot.

in a related case I wrote about sometime back on here, uhm its where the film inside the plastic sepparates uhm

probably humidity, it usually wrinkles stuff up like that
