Title: Miles Davis and Electric Tears and More
Post by: Chris DiCicco on April 09, 2006, 10:48:16 AM
Anyone dig MD....?

Anyone like SoS?

Anyone know the 1st song was covered by Buckethead on Electric Tears track#2

This may be redundent by I would be gassed if there was movie about Miles Davis.

I know very little about MD, origins?, plays Jazz trumpet, shot basketball with John Lennon.... thats it.

Who do You think would play him in a Movie ?

From which era of MD do You like? Normal or Weird??

I like him a lot. My favourite albums are: "Bitches brew (the complete sessions)", "In a silent way", "Kind of blue", "Sketches of spain" and "Evil live". Classic records.

You should read his autobiography even though you have a low tolerance for potty language

Thanks for the Link, I can handle potty language, just not in Buckethead Music, if it has some ______ You , _______Me, __________ _________ was red when I left \'em for Dead ____ pigs are on my back, _______ pigs caught me dealing Crack...... (fill in the blanks) some free flow gangster rap for ya Kiddy\'s.

I will look around for MD Auto or Bio which ever snakes My way.

Funny thing about Miles Davis

I was listening to KDVS and one peice that was on the air sounded so familer, I was almost pacing the room trying to figure it out when the DJ came on and said " You\'ve been listening to Bitches Brew by Miles Davis", I didn\'t slap my forhead but I was close.

I had The CD.. I still laugh about it.

Oh I enjoy MD music.  Miles is so innovative and extremely talented.  I really like listening to him...in fact,
I occasionally find myself lying on the floor in a dark living room looking at my 20 gallon fish tank, while listening to MD "Dingo".

I also like Chet Baker, Stan Getz, Billie Holiday and Ella.  Depends on my mood...sometimes I need a little jazz and other times I bring on the metal...

I think Chet Baker is Flea\'s dad - from the Chili Peppers...
what a lineage

Found flimsy copy of MD autobio but heres the real weird part I was standing in Borders with My bright yellow rain jacket on and some guy comes up behind Me with a dry cough (cough cough cough cough) like that and to be nice I asked if He was Ok becuase truthfully it sorta scared Me.

He starts talking to me about MD asking if I play trumpet, I said No I play Bass, then if I play in a band and how I play jazz, I told him about who\'m I play with and some of the things I\'ve done of course was not said, he said he was into Gil Evens had a book on him and that he play piano...

And then just like that ssssph!? he was gone.

small talk is so aggrivatting especially in Borders.

Dumbfounded........

That Miles Davis autobio is the only book i\'ve ever read more than once.  I read it years ago, and started it over as soon as
I was done.  I might pick it up again before the biopic comes out.
Oh yeah they are making a movie on him.  It should be in production now.  No word on when it comes out.
I hope they don\'t try to cram his whole career in an
hour 45min movie.
That kid from City of God kinda looks like a young Miles.
I hope Hollywood does it right.
Recent biopic have been better than the ones in the past
Ray and Walk the Line were good.
Can\'t wait to see Dylan\'s
and there\'s also a Janis one on the way.
They need to make a better Hendrix biopic.
Who knows maybe 20 or 30 yrs from now Buckethead will have one.
