so guys i was wonderin, others than instruments and mixing decks, what audio programmes do u use,, i use,
1. reason 2.5, with a handful of refills loaded, plus i also use recycle, and rebirth, reason is ssssoooo easy to use
2. fruityloops, occasionly, i cant make it not sound fake ,its too programmed sounding but nice effects though
3. soundforge, with a stack of plugins and effects, sometimes i use acidpro, but i get a bit lost, hehe, i am a newie
4. analogx scratch,, this is one of the better scratch progs i found, other than a couple of 1200\'s, but im sure there are more progs out there,
and i think that basicly covers it, im just keen to know what the "industry" uses, but im seriously hooked on reason, been using it since it came out , over to u guys,
I like to use musicians version 2.5 or in my case version 9.0.
i dont understand trav, musicans version? version 9???
dont forget im not a studio producer :\'(, i really wish though
Sorry Denske, I forgot the ;D I just meant I still like to record musicians playing their instruments, by version 9x, I just meant "but I\'m getting old".
for my mash ups nosie core stuff i use - Auda City Freeware its the best freeware eprograme ever created
programmign N\' samplers i use Magix music studios with millions of sound fonts and AVIDA\'s Warm tone
Re-birth and Free Bee for 303 Programming & 909 and 808 drum modulating as standAred
im kinda geting tired of software, so i use drum/bass machines
Zoom Rythm trak 123 / bass/ drums - i used it solid for 4 years and its almost knackerd
Tr-707 - the daddy for hatz just liek the 808
Boss MT-2 - using it as a Eq system depending on what style i do
Zoom GFX-2 - 20 second on baord sampler and pretty good effects for a zoom, tho dont use it much it a faulty imput jack
Boss - BBR-8 digital 8-track - i mostly use this for bi-- passing and real time effects when playing live
Flying V
Custom wedge
tanglewood TW-300 acuosutic
Amp was Marshall 30wcd [got stolen]
maybe getting a Vox AD30VT tomorrow if they guy shows up :/
i also have a paper clip and tweezers for Tape destruction
and a packard bell R4 Notepad laptop which i use for everything [but its going to the menders tomorrow as the right speaker and output is buggered]
Cm
thanks guys,, trav i thought u had some freaky special edition of something cool ;D, wow thanks for the info chris, i would love to do this stuff fulltime, maybe not produce but def makes beats, i work fulltime so its hard finding good time to do it, in my last three computer restores ive somehow forgot to save tracks, and i reckon i lost about ,uummm a sh@%t load of songs ,samples, scratches, im a bloody amatuer, im getting worked up now thinking about it, arrrgghh, oh well an excuse to tread old ground i spose
noone mentioned, propellersheads "reason, recycle" i love these two, recycle doesnt always do what i want, but reason has that big a set of balls, i feel ashamed ;D
i geuss i my amateurism does shine through,,hehe
imo i hated reason, when i was at uni, all the rich kids tried to be like the progidy, by distorting there cheap 808 wanna be kick drum.. and thinkin there the daddy..
i had a muck around on reason and couldnt quite understand why everyone was going mental about it..
there is too much for what it does, i saw a tutorial of reason 9 which is designed for live music, and yeah it was impressive but at the end of the day what ever it does no matter how impressive it still sounds like reason a mile off..
and Ahh drum machines - you can tell a mile off when its a zoom drum machine by the vast quantity of reverb they use on every single patch kits and there is no way of getting rid of the horrible reverb, and all the kits are screwed the best kits sound like a terrible frankenstien low quality mixure of the tr-505 - but saying that it\'s most enjoyable cheesing it up with a 505..
tho i cant complain most of my work from the last 4 years have been with a zoom 123.. i guess i just got tired of it
so here is an example im going to do right now to show you the highs and lows of THE ZOOM 123!!
this is what can be done with the Zoom 123 bass patch 18 and zoom kit 8 and 9 plus a few mods in AudaCity

chris dude, im stinging for u to listen some aussie flavour, hehe, the prodigy joke,i think they done there whole new album on reason, but remember im only a spare room rocker, this baby does me sweet as a nut, i really dont get into that fake sound, its why i dont like that frutiyloops programme, i like my beats to sound like someone is actually playing a real drum kits, maybe 4 different kits during a track, hehe, or a real bass guitar, i find plenty of sweet basslines for the dr rex sampler, i do muck around playing bass too,and acoustic guitar, but i dont really know how to,hehe, it kinda sucks not being able to fully talk technical to you chris, , i kinda think with reason, its all in the refills u have, all i use in reason , is the dr rex thingie, and effectsand the occasionl subtractor bassline, so yeh i geuss there is way too much shit in it, i delte all other devices straight up, if u can put up with my untechnical descriptions, i promise im a quick learner,
