Let her know how much you love her, man - this is a nasty process from the inside, if you think the shunts were freaky to you, imagine being her.  Whatever form is natural in your family, let her know how important she is, how much she means to you.  That shit wipes you out and makes you feel like a dank rag, even once it\'s over the effects ride on for a little while.  She needs lots of love and understanding - and you\'re obviously a son full of both.   Hooray for the upside of the journey!  :-*

what your mom have?  my mom had a mastectamy which had to be tended to greatly cuz the wound was open.  gross stuff.

Chemo sucks definately, it was horrible when my mom was doing it.  the losing of the hair is definately painful especially for a woman as well.  but now my mom\'s got a killer afro from her hair growing in curly!  cool!

Hey Mr. Spencer

My mom had a Colonastpy? and Doctors found Cancer in a polup so she had a surgery to refigure her colon, I was there stayed in the hospital while the Nurses gave her Morphine and these really weird leg wraps so  the  blood  flows back in to her legs theses wraps were then hooked up to a pump that would make noise like Darth Vader\'s breathing, But the side effects were not as  bad as Breast Cancer she lost strands of her hair and to begin with she didn\'t have full down the back mane have you ever seen the original Charles Angelas well she didn\'t look like Farrah or the Latinoe she looked like the second one, I don\'t know her name, But Spencer did your Mom were a wig, mine had two one Brunett and one Blonde, but she didn\'t need them, she didn\'t care what the hek was her motto, but she is diffrent in some ways better, but it can only get better from here on out . she\'s gonna get married really soon so this was just a rock in the road in starting over.

To GKG
From the begining I told her that I would take this away from her, in a switch just to take away the pain, she said she knows and that its ok and the side effects will diminish also I told her we would have to change how her body feels from bad to good she\'s been cooped up for 5 long months. Its been hard one side effect was that she couldn\'t eat drink anything cold (i.e.) ice cream, milk and most important Diet Coke. she loved diet coke...

Lastly Caper
I did give her a hug last Night but not to long and not to close becuse I\'m still getting over having a real nasty head cold. but will do a hug soon.

But why was she Done Early you ask, well the med\'s and Chemo that she was taking had infected her legs and started to have these Sists all over the place, So Doc\'s said yer done.

Sorry for the gross out but when I herd the words Done Early I had to post.

hahahaha - Wilson\'s as sweet as he sounds, so i hear.  my former brother-in-law, Andy, plays and produces with him.

funny how the wounded speak for the masses sometimes - whether they know it or not.

Chris,
My mom had a wig yeah, she didn\'t want anyone to like, worry about her or anything.  she works at two places, one of which is a teaching job at the university, so she didn\'t wanna make a fuss outta it.  actually, the day of the operation she got my dad to teach, then the next day she was back, haha.

The wig looked really nice actually.  now she has a killer fro cuz her hair grew in curly.  i\'m going to buy her an afro pick with a "solid" fist at the top, just because i love that type of stuff, and i love irony!

anyways, i think her mastectamy got infected which needed an operation.  she had to leave the wound open so a little pump could go in there and suck stuff out.  it made more of a gurgling sound though, not a Vaderish sound.

she got really bad around the third chemo though.  that\'s when she started getting sick and stuff.

either way, she\'s done with that stuff, and i know how relieved i was then, and how relieved you must be.  My mom\'s and older lady in the first place, and i want her to see her grandchildren (be it my brother\'s kids or mine), which was looking very slim during cancer time.  If i ever had reason to believe in God, it was to get my mom through this, and I thank him for that every day.

Spencer,

sorta lost me, what with your Lingo, Don\'t worrie about kids yet, don\'t stop being a kid, this only happens if you have a kid. thee other wiser Posters here will probably get on  me for that, But don\'t worry be young becuase it goes by like that ( Snaps Fingers ) Spencer, I can\'t Beleive it but just this morning I got a good crop of Gray hair growing an I\'m not even 30, Whoa! now I\'m really walking the line.

Enjoy the Now, be mindful of the past but don\'t dwell on it, look not to the future becuse its unwritten and bright, await the young traveler becuse the old have Patience and wisdom unbound...

aright thats enough of my ranting jargon to fill up a young persons head up to the brink, Sorry Spencer I\'m lapse into a transplanted hippy, sometimes.

Chris

i dunno about the wiser posters, but as one of the older ones i can tell ya i totally agree - enjoy your youth, don\'t get bogged down in the future, because it will come soon enough.  do what you enjoy and try to find a way to make a living at it - it\'s a wonderful thing of you can do it.  age and kids will come soon enough...   ;)

if you got lost on the lingo, i\'m guessing you meant mastectamy.  that\'s a nice way to say one of her breasts was removed  :-/.

And trust me, i got the kid stuff down.  i do as much as i can to stay out of politics, and in on toys and junk. ;D

The other kids won\'t believe me, but toys are way better than politics any day.  It\'s Giant Robot and GI Joe vs. Geroge Bush and John Kerry.  I mean come on, which two are cooler?

hey, enjoying your youth doesn\'t mean opting out of politics, it can be a very exciting and important part of your youth, in fact.

although, my old Barbie does have this tangled history with GI Joe and Ken...  she liked her men a little warmer than Giant Robot, not to mention she\'d be way too old for him now.

Quotehey, enjoying your youth doesn\'t mean opting out of politics, it can be a very exciting and important part of your youth, in fact.

Not this youth my friend.  i made an adamant stand against that when kids in 8th grade were talking like they knew anything about it when they knew absoulutely nothing.  they just repeated what their parents said, and it really upset me.  so, sure, i like that American Idiot cd, and Junior is a really good song with valid points, but i\'m not going to be all uber into politics.  :-\\

Whenever Barbies would come over from the cousins, they\'d be into Megazord and Cobra Commander :)

Post by: gkg on November 30, 2004, 03:39:33 PM
those are Barbies with interesting taste!

the cool part about being young with politics is it gives you a chance to read a whole bunch of interesting stuff about current history making events as you\'re learning the truly historical building of our nation and it\'s principles.  very cool - and i am SO not alone when i tell you that brains are the sexiest part of any man or woman.

In lew of resent Events I have found some scary sounds to incorperate into a Album I\'m working on , the song in question is called Nightmares Over and I found a sound so scary, so over the top that I have to write down the setting I have yet to complete it with Acoustics acompanyed by the Concert Uke but here goes
---------------------
---------------------
---------------------
---------------------
---------------------
15-17-19-21-24 ( top string neck joint )

I don\'t know how to write tab. oh well, I can fake it pretty good.

9-10-11-12> 12-11-10> 10-11-12>-
---------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------- . 9 is the route number.

Not very good at Math, have no real clue on what I\'m saying ...er creating.

Digitech RP50 Preset Level 40, pic/Wah off , Comprs 15, Amp F4, Noise Gate 59, EQ B9 D9 E9, Chorus/ Mod. 44, Delay A9 Vol. 2.0 , Reverb C9...

This setting is almost DCK like when I say scary its scary but it plays down into a wakeful interuption of sleep to a better dream of ( insert here, what you will ). enjoy it becuse I\'ll never release it, maybe to family members and or friends. What gave me to Idea is a recent Artical with EVH say something like " use of to much Compression and EQ makes Cheese, so in my search to finish this album right I employed this trick and came away awesomely scared.

Hey Chris,
Sorry I have been away and missed this when I came back but please except and give my late good wishes to your mom and all your family and ask her if I can have a piece of the wedding cake!  This is fantastick news!
I am glad this part of the journey is over and the next part can begin.

I am with you on the uke song. I found a hum or two as I read through. But yeah shouldn\'t probably release it as a single.

;) No problemo, I\'ve already got one person at work who wants a copy, I still have about 10+ song on the Album that have little or no relation to this scary sounding riff, anouther Uke Song thats finished is a little ditty called Uncle Benny\'s Patatoe Salad, but what the hek heres what I go so far, undefined order...

Button Belly
Reptilian Side
Acetaminophen F#
Strung Out
Mold
Uncle Benny\'s Patatoe Salad
157th Ghost
Existence Reality
Nightmares Over
Mash Sou (with Guitar Solo)
How to Make Soup ( title track?)
Cash\'in the Ladder

thats it so far most of this is Emperimento Punk Jazz trip out jammin, dealing with Acid Loops looped not so much to drive someone crazy but to sound out there.

input input input

I\'ll publish Uncle Benny later trust me it\'s pretty good riff.

Sorry if this is questionable stuff, some is, some isn\'t somes just plain weird.

Chris ;D

first casualty of the Album  to be cut is the song Mold it has very little to offer just being a sample, I replaced it with something called " Noodles Made to look Like Angels " and no this is not a Christmas song is a Uke Out Spagetti Song with a dash of Keys. 8)

I don\'t see anything questionable. Was kind of interested in the mold song though, but I\'m ok with noodles made to look like angles, just as long as there is no mold in it  ;)
Title: Re: Done Early
Post by: Chris DiCicco on December 13, 2004, 03:43:03 PM
:D Nah! mold didn\'t travel to good with me it was slow in the scribing so it just stopped.

What I wanna do is Exparamento\' Punk Jazz trippy Trippy twang Bang Music. Is there a smaller catigorie for that, Tell Me...

Maybe just a self imposing jam, with Acid Loops and the likelyhood of Guitars and Percussions coming together to live in the House of ( not Harmoney or Jack ) but Riff\'s Built.

to strange too strange even for me.

He died in his sleep?
Seems like this year has been a yin yang sort of thang,  what with Mom haveing Had Cancer  and my great Uncle Dieing (yin) and seeing Buckethead 3 times and Bob Dylan the (yang) pretty much almost canceled out the Yin.
oh and yes Nelson had a whole family who loved him, he was in the Olympic\'s ( Judo ) and one of the wars ( not shure which one, Last year he threw his wife my Aunt Joan a surprise 80th birthday party, he got the idea from My father Silvermullet, too invite people to stay at the Holiday Inn ( I was included in this, will spare you long and boring story) this Party was very taxing for him he could barly walk mostly supporting his 6 foot 4 or 5 frame apon a huge homemade cane he had.

okay enough gibberin gabberin.

;D something light that I said I\'d post.. enjoy

Uncle Benny\'s Patatoe Salad
-----------------------------------------------
-7--8--4---X 7----8----X 3--5--3--5------
-----------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------
the 8\'s are doubled so is the first 5 on the Concert Uke the X\'s are breaks in the beat.
------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------4-----------------
-2--3o-2o-3-2-3o-2o-3-^-9-10-11-7-8
-----------------------------------------------
on the Banjo I do a thing called a reach and at the end I do a bend which sounds fantastic, if I can do it right.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
-14-15o-14-o15-14o-15-14o-15-14-o15-14-o15-14o-15-
----I----I----I-----I-----I---I-----I---I---I-----I--I------I-----I---I
----------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
now the Acoustic and the RRRibit stick parts come in with hitting the 4th string first in a qauzi sicka nating rythum, I am a horrible drummer, this lasts longer then the two Uke\'s whom fade before it fades. Also none of this has been played yet so I\'m just biteing my foot here. Enjoy all the same.

Chris
