Title: instructor
Post by: D.O.D on November 07, 2004, 06:24:57 PM
Among Travis1 many attributes... musician, keyboard.,composer, technical wizard, is the lesser known  quality of instructor and teacher. He is able to convey  thoughts and ideas with incredible  precision. In my dotage Travis taught me the basics of \'photoshop\' {usually over the phone]... and now  with great patience  he is  instructing me in \'After Affects\', a great tool for animation. Earlier  he found time to  teach his mother, a writer, Microsoft word. We are both fast  approaching our 80!s where  the mysteries of daylight  savings time ain!t easy.   D.O.D

it seems to me your son has many strengths and talents.  i think i can guess where he got them - at home from his wonderful folks!

from time to time on the forum Travis has taught people how to do something, what to use to get an effect, and if they pay attention to the benign silence, people can learn from Travis the patience and tolerance necessary to allow people to thrash things out and learn about the world from each other.  i\'m very tolerant but i do have to work on that patience thing myself - still watching Travis to learn that one.

all in all, that is a very cool son you\'ve got there, Mr. Dickerson.  sexy too - but on that count he\'d call me crazy (which i am, but it has no bearing on my assessment).

Yes Have to agree Travis Saved me a Bizzillion Dollars by answering my Questions about studio\'s and the like but not being a one minded person I screwed up my courage and ased the local pro\'s and they said nahda, nothing, no place to record around here thats like (TDRS) so I in waiting to sup up my computer with gizmo\'s and gadgets to record in, on to twist a Dangerous Riff into something sweet and back into something Dangerous, So in Short Yeah VERY HELPFUL I am Learn(ed) more so.
