[size=24][glb]RED ALERT[/glb][/size]
McCarthy is alive and well in the US of A - certain indies spring immediately to mind, not to mention dissident artists, etc. - who\'s next folks and how long will this go on before we again stand up and take this nation and it\'s civil liberties back from the cloak & dagger set?
I don\'t understand how this can happen. If the US was not the government who wanted the info, then why would we serve the supena? And what validity could that possible have in the UK - without them being informed, and having their consent? :-X
The Home Office had to have known about it. Even so, if the people in that office in the UK had a clue, they could have contested the seizure based on the fact that they are not US citizens, and therefore being on UK soil are not subject to any kind of seizure. It doesn\'t matter where the ownership is based. If this was legit, the the UK would have been with the US officials that seized the equipment. And since they were not, I bet that they stepped back and said -we don\'t want any part of this.
Since when do we make siezures in SOVERIGN FOREIGN COUNTRIES for some "3rd party govenment"?? :-/
The entire thing is absurd, a total travesty.
Here is another question for you.....
Why haven\'t we heard more stink about this from the US media??
So much for the 1st Amendment. :-[

once the heads of the majority of larger journalism outlets started thinking like corporate CEOs rather than editors/journalists it ceased to be about the facts and became about money; for some journalists even, it stopped being about their reputation for digging into the facts, and became about gaining a reputation for themselves regardless of the factual content of their stories.
this breaks my heart because my father was a journalist and above all things he treasured the pursuit of the truth and the art of language. those are a dying breed in journalism today. i\'m almost glad he\'s not alive to see this happening to his beloved craft - if i didn\'t think he\'d be so damn good at sounding the alarm and keeping them honest.
this our country. this is our country on drugs. we have been drugged. drugged with fear. drugged with propaganda. drugged with stories woven to suck us in. we must all sound the alarm - people, we are asleep in a burning house.
to quote that sexy siren Exene:
[size=32][glb][glb]stupid fucking sheep - WAKE - UP!![/glb][/glb][/size]
what a woman.
what a world.
if you\'ve seen GI Jane, you know what i mean, if not - rent it - not just for Viggo, although that\'s always something good - but for the prophetical song from Exene played in the bar scene - "The Future is a WAR"
we need her - we need more like her - we need the youth to stand up, kick ass and take names!!
this just in. i haven\'t a chance to research it - but if it\'s true - whoa, what a thing...

no time myself, but Max found this and as expected... it\'s not too likely. still an interesting thought. after all, the Saddam for Christmas idea seemed like a stretch too...
