I\'m a fan of everything Buckethead, from the extremes (Cuckoo Clocks to Electric Tears) and everything in between. I haven\'t heard any Thanatopsis though. What\'s it like?

Xyphoid, Make no mistake and get all 2 thanatopsis albums, they are something everyone should have in there cd collection. thanatopsis (the first one) seems to be over looked by most Buck fans, dont get me wrong Axiology is a fine peice of work, it\'s good anough to make love to ;D. thanatopsis is on the hevier side still pyrric victory still reminds me of a video game, which is awesome!
Dont Fret Get these 2 cd\'s at once, even more so if travis still has the package deal up as well, grab a t-shirt as well
also Travis when will ther be more Thanatopsis? or Cobra strike? or Death cube k?

I immediately however was faced with a very serious dilemma, as you can guess, which one I should listen to first. :-/
Well here we are two days later and I can only tell you that Axiology is completely worn out. I love this CD!
Nostrum is my absolute favorite followed by New Year, Gnash and Axiology.
Now don\'t think Thanatopsis was left out, it too is following very closely 2cnd to being worn out. I completely fell for Final Reparation and thought man this is my favorite until I got a few more tracks in and replayed Myopia about a zillion times!

To anyone who hasn't experienced this yet, I encourage you to first get them now and second get them both at the same time! Be sure you are settled in because you are going on a ride like you have never known. Guitars everywhere, the keybords are off the handle and the drums, oh my! the drums! Throw in the strings and all the other little things that just jump on you, just believe me you will not be able to get enough.

What I have to say about Death Cube K is this, This is the most frightening thing I have ever heard. I don\'t recommend dozing off in the middle of it. The nightmares it causes might detour people from ever sleeping again. (please know I mean this in a good way)
I love track 8 and 10 and all I can say is look out trick or treaters cause this music will be playing when you knock on my door!

That just means your internet connection isn\'t fast enough to stream the file. You could either pause the track while it\'s downloading till the download has progressed well ahead of your demand for the file or right click on the link and download the file to your hard drive then play it off you hard drive.

These albums are masterworks! I went with everyone\'s recommendations and am now a very happy listener. Travis, you\'ve once again produced a work of art. My question is, do we have a chance in hell of seeing a Thanatopsis tour once B finishes the current stint with C2B3? It would make me happy.

I agree with everyone that said you should get both axiology and thanatopsis. thanatopsis is more hard core. axiology rocks. if you haven\'t heard cobra strike II now that is one fine ride. I say add it to your list of desires.

To comment, I got a copy (real, just so we\'re sure on that) of Thanatopsis from this one guy a while back, and to be honest, I love it. I curse the fact that my cd player is broken right now, and i can\'t listen to it. Cuz all this talk about it is making me wanna hear it sooooooooo badly. I love this album.
From what I\'ve heard, Aixology sounds even better. The sample tracks are.... Well, beautiful, that\'s a good description. This one is definately on my Xmas list.
I swear, if i ever make a movie, i\'m going to try and use nothing but buckethead tracks. I think it could work. Hell, he does everything, how could it not work? Well, buckethead could say "don\'t use my songs," and i\'d be like "drat." But then i\'d move on, cuz buckethead knows what\'s best.

I took Axiology to the gym with me last night. I swear I lost 10 lbs! 1 for each song. Yeah I wish! But wow I was really motivated.
I have to say that Vicious Circle has to be my absolute favorite. I just wonder Travis, did you have to get a new keyboard after recording that song? I am just imagining that there was smoke coming from the keys as you played, It is truly a hot song!
I know that you are in the works on Thanatopsis 111 and I would in no way want you to take your attention away from that and then the live tour and all... but in the back of your mind if you could kind of store this idea, can we get a solo Travis Dickerson album? Thank you all, I appreciate the support. Really the Thanatopsis CD\'s are my solo CD\'s. They all started as solo recordings including the one I\'m working on now. Once Ramy and Buckethead become involved it\'s not right to call them that but I still put 100\'s of hours and large chunks of myself into each one of them. Between these recordings and all the other CD\'s I produce there\'s very little time for anything else, I have to pick and choose my projects carefully. My personality is such that I would rather spend time crafting a few projects I\'m happy with rather than crank out several things that I\'m not. As to doing something live, we do talk about doing it and I expect we will, it will probably be something here in L.A. and depend on the extremely busy schedules of the three of us.
I am a recent convert to Thanatopsis, and was encouraged enough the get the super package deal that Travis offered, and a number of others at reasonable prices, and I must say I am happy with all of them. I ended up with a shipment of about 9 CD\'s and what a blast listening to them, I just wish I had more time for them. I have a hard time picking, but Axiology is definately up there.
I am sooooooo jazzed to hear from you, Travis, that Thanatopsis III is in the works and I will have a spot waiting in my CD case for it. I\'d love to see a live event too, no way you could keep me from it.
I totally appreciate you doing a few things that you are happy with rather than too many you are not, and praise you for the quality work that you have put out there so far. Well Travis you certainly wouldn\'t have to worry that no one would show up. With all of us on the list, you will put us on the list right?, just us on this forum alone would fill a hall to see you. When you all can find that it fits in your schedules that will be fine with me. I will be there! Your passion for your music shines through in everything you do, weather it be alone or not. I am extremely greatful that you are out there suppling this need for this fabulous craft that you weild so well and that I can be on this side of it. As much as I desire something solo I would in no way wish you to spend your time in any other way then you already have or plan to do in the future, just keep what you\'ve got coming beacuse I will certainly be in the front of the line to enjoy and support it. Thank you sooo much Travis, I get so tired of the everyday same ole music that comes through the radios and lines the shelves of the record stores. Please I mean no offense to any artist who is expressing their craft, but sometimes it just gets so repitious and nothing creative pops its head out to me. So when I come across something like Thanatopsis or PFA , music and passion that is simply just different and makes the mind move then I get excited. Time for some music and a bedtime story.................. Once upon a time............there was this wonderful music called Thanatopsis....soon there was a second and a third in the works, and from all of this came a live performance! Many attended and were surrounded in good music, new friends, and hours of enjoyment. A memorable evening was had by all, and CDs of the evening were made available at the TDRS site in record time after the show.

Thantopsis was a Club ran out of the El Gonquin? in New York by the Founders of the New Yorker Magazine , Have You herd of it..
