Title: Praxis at bonnaroo
Post by: sorrycharlie on April 12, 2004, 10:57:53 AM
i just got e-mail anouncement saying Praxis will be playing at bonnaroo. buckethead, bernie worrell, brain, dj disk, and bill laswell is the listed line-up. i am so exited about this. bucket will probelly play with Material also. hey travis, you and bucket should play also! a thanatopsis/population overide show. btw, i love your playing on PO. perfect! i really think the hippies would dig the PO songs, cuz they are so long. a thanatopsis concert would be amazing. i\'m sure it\'s been ask, but why don\'t you guys ever play live?

Choptop may not have to wait until bonnaroo to eat some hippie meat:

The way you present yourself and the way you play your roles, Aragorn in "Lord of the Rings" and now the horse friend Frank Hopkins: All that gives the impression of a bit of a hippie.
If you equate closeness to nature and a certain openness with being a hippie, then I was a hippie and I still am.

i have no problem with hippies.  they actually are good people.  i just think they taste a little better than norms.  these days, with all these new age hippies over on the east coast eating all that organic natural shit, you know, fewer chemicals.  you can really taste the difference.

just kidding

that is awesome news, charlie. thanks for letting folks know about that.

now that Travis has added such a nice board for such things, I hope it doesn\'t disintegrate into a place he doesn\'t even want to post to anymore. it\'s pretty tacky to bash total strangers and his friends here.

i think you are confusing choptop with viggo.

viggo mortenson=lord of the rings/solo albums
choptop =texas chainsaw 2/cornbugs

or maybe your saying choppy should eat viggo? that\'s a weird thought!!!

zuzu, please don\'t get me wrong- I wasn\'t bashing Viggo- no no no not at all- I was attempting something far more deviously undogmatic- I was attempting to undermine the use of stereotype with a bit of shock therapy- out of an impulse to defend self expression of all kinds- the rest was just a bit of back and forth irreverent fun from my perspective-

ok, so now I\'m busted- but I come clean since I feel bad about causing anyone undue distress- my heart is a bleeding liberal today-

ok, I could look it up, but in the interest of getting back on topic, does anyone know when bonnaroo is and where does it happen?  because o yes would I like to be part of the crowd at a Praxis and friends performance-

Well, not really.  But Paul Partain, Ed Neal, Marilyn Burns and Choptop all appear on the Dead Puppy tribute to Cornbugs cd.  They are even all on different songs.

i think it\'s less about being in one of the TCMs and more about meeting and being cool shit.

for the record and from experience, hippies of both flavs are tastier - FAR tastier.  and you can still respect your ass in the morning.  once you find it.
