Title: analog Buckethead
Post by: Megan on March 09, 2004, 12:32:07 PM
Travis, do you know word on any California dates and places where Buckethead may play this springtime?  I remember you said something on the old board but sorry I can\'t remember what and I can\'t find it no how.

Hi Megan,

I\'m afraid I can be just as big a source of misinformation as anybody so I want warn everyone that I don\'t speak for Buckethead and I\'m often as surprised as anyone when I hear about how something I thought was a fact wasn\'t anymore. Anyway I think there are only one or maybe two shows left in this booking cycle, the only one I know for sure about is in San Diego
at the Brick by Brick March 12th (but please confirm it before you take my word for it). I know the guys have really been enjoying themselves and are talking about another round of shows and (oh god am I saying this) maybe some out of state shows. Again, take heed of my first sentence. If I hear of anything that sounds halfway reliable, I\'ll post it here. You should check Buckethead.com and BingeandGrab.com also Bingebuddies.com has some insight as well. I have heard people say no place does a good job of keeping fans informed about upcoming events, but this has more to do with the underground (my euphemism) way this stuff is booked rather than the fault of the people reporting it. I think the best way to be informed about these events is to keep up with the community of folks who are trying to keep informed and keep in mind that this can be a wild ride, hold on tight.

Travis, thanks for the rounded headsup!  Ok, this next related question may be a bit closer to home if the family is keeping in touch:  Will you do anything live with Population Override when it releases at the end of the month?  I do remember I think you said it had a simple sound in a way, straight sounds on classic instruments? Unlike Top of the World Ma that sounds so well layered with effects to do live maybe.  Although without doubt I\'d want to be there if it could be.  Anyway, are there any live plans stewing around the release of p.o.?

We are talking about doing something live, probably here in L.A. or SF. It\'s only in the talking stages right now.
