I was right about to post something about this! Oh well. Im preordering this as soon as possible. Its been my dream to see another album just like Electric Tears! So this I just cannot wait for.
Going to preorder soon. ;D
great news!!!
I love that album cover, I\'ve always thought Big B was a surfer.
Fantastic, perhaps his first release of 2012? I can\'t wait.
I know not to assume anything but since Travis sells ET I wonder if this cd will be sold here as well?
^^^^Well, if it is, this is where I\'ll be buying it ;D
OH GRRRrrreat!

I hate to say this, but... I\'m a bit underwhelmed with electric sea. There are one or 2 tracks that stand out. But the lack of structure, composition and little to no climax really bore me. 2 chord songs with improv with 1 or 2 changes are not really moving. I found myself fast forwarding through tracks to find something captivating. Electric tears has a similar essence but is far better in terms of feeling.
Id like to see buckethead spend more than a month or 2 creating an album. Masterpieces take a long time to create. This very well could have been a masterpiece with more effort, but falls short.
Still love ya buck, you have music that makes time stand still. Unfortunately this one doesn\'t...
On a brighter note: I will say point doom, electric sea and the homing beacon are fantastic! That I can\'t deny :)

Personaly I think these things come with time. Some songs do stand out immediately but others get better with time and that\'s when the true magic of what your hearing becomes apparent.
To say he should spend more time on making stuff I think is nonsense cos you have no idea how long he spent writing these tracks.
You are of course entitled to your opinion and and I\'m not saying you\'re wrong for having it, but I certainly don\'t agree with it. From what I\'ve heard, it sounds awesome!!!

Yes, but some of us know how spontaneous it is to throw a few chords together and improvise over the top.
And that\'s why it worries me that so many people fell for this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJXyDu22OcQ

How do you know how long Bucket spent to write an album?

Of course I have no idea how long he spent doing this album. I\'m assuming after the tour is when he started working on it. At the time we were under the impression he was doing the pikes series and bam outta nowhere came this.
Just saying, bucket is a fabulous musician. I was expecting more from a sequel to the great electric tears. Electric sea isin\'t bad, but is not great either. I\'m glad I bought it overall. And no bot should miss out on it. Because there is a gem or 3 in there.
On another note, I wonder who that guy is on the inside of the cd holding the locket? I think I may know, but that\'s just pure speculation....
Man, to think that I won\'t be getting this until another 6 weeks time sucks.
Sir Buckethead you have done it again! I am in complete awe right now, even after 8 straight listens since this morning. Swomee Swan has got to be one of my favorite tracks of all time. This album is a great musical sequel to Electric Tears.
Thank you Buckethead! ;D ;D ;D
p.s. if this becomes available here I\'ll by another copy.
Hi.
I would like to ask whether this album will be sold on TDRS. Does anybody know yet?
My guess is no, since it is not a TDRS release.
If I recall correctly, Captain EO\'s Voyage was originally a Hatboxghost release, and now it\'s being sold here so it could go either way.

Yes, but from now on, the Hat Box Ghost ones will show up at Pikes. ESea probably won\'t come here because it wasn\'t recorded at TDRS.
It really depends on how they are being distributed. If I can get my hands on a CD I will carry it here. But that is totally up to the distributor. If they want exclusive distribution or are willing to sell wholesale to a retailer like us. The trend has been exclusivity because with the internet all you need is a website and you don\'t need other retailers. I see in this case the distributor is actually selling retail. That\'s relativity new.
Because the fan base for these is really quite small one retailer is all that\'s needed. I will always sell TDRS music here but depending on who funded the production of any other particular CD, I expect it to be harder and harder to consolidate everything under one roof, let alone this roof.
well thats a bit of a shame Travis because this site for me has always been the goto site for buckethead releases.
