Post by: twIXta on March 25, 2011, 03:59:22 PM
I\'m hearing something about a new album with Pete and Brain, Japan-themed, new material. Sounds cool!

This is good news. I\'ve wanted to hear more from this combo for a long time.

Some Laswell associates were down on the recording quality of the  NTT sessions at the time it was released, and the album is much more raw than  a typical Axiom production of the time, I really dug it.  I\'d like to hear what they come up with these days, for sure.

Thanks  for the tip, even if its purely speculation.

I heard about this on the Laswell list. Other than that, yes, nothing.

Did Laswell and Associates produce this album? I didnt think they did. It was not released on Axiom.

Nope. It wasn\'t Laswell release. That may be why some people dismissed it at the time of the initial release...Who knows...

Their loss, it still stands as one of my fav Bucket albums ever. :)

I ordered it back in the day hoping it was the then still Japan-only Giant Robot and received this with a note (from Bucket I suppose) saying: "Hope this helps" (I wrote how hard it was to find the Japanese one, this is days of only limited internet, just enough to know what was out there ... somewhere). Sure did. :)

Regarding this rumour: it\'s a discussion/mailgroup on Yahoo, it\'s nothing official and I\'m not sure what the source is.

Oh yeah, big time. We could probably swap some fun stories about orders back in the day! I think Buckethead and Pinchface handled the orders back then. I had messages from them and even one from Throatrake! The toystore has changed quite a bit as Buckethead\'s profile risen and has vanquished Draculon over the years. And Travis does an amazing job these days.
