Title: Buckethead Les Paul Studios now shipping
Post by: stumpdangler on March 28, 2011, 01:39:31 PM
I played one today, and am waiting for mine to come in.
Nice beefy neck, and it sounds a little bit brighter than most Les Pauls to my ear. I like a Les Paul with 24 frets! The electronics sound great, too. The coil tap on the tone knob is a sweet touch. And as far as I know Lance at EM shorts still has the best deal.

Yes, just like the subject of this thread states.

If I get or find a link I\'ll be sure to post it.

Great,

Hope it arrives soon, because one pickup of my signature is broken, and I\'m waiting for my dealer to get a new one (I hope that\'s even possible).

I feel your pain. My Sig\' is in the shop right now, too. Upper killswitch failure.
It\'s actually the second issue I\'ve had with my Sig. The finish cracked at the neck heel due to varnish build-up. While Gibson will not cover this, the luthier fixing my killswitch told me this was Gibson\'s fault and that he would make them cover the finish crack as well as the killswitch (still under warranty).

I LOVE my Sig\', but for the money, I should not be having these issues.

Too bad about the dodgy electronics and finish issues! I didn\'t know that there were any problems with the BH LPs but I guess it shouldn\'t surprise me.  I know at least one other person that has had problems with white finishes.

Here is what I am aware of and/or can remember at this time for the Buckethead Les Paul Studio: Satin White finish, Mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck, chrome hardware, 496R/500T, one volume, one tone w/ coil tap. 2 kill switches, 500 in this run. But this is all subject to change as Gibson the manufacturer sees fit or necessary... And as far as I know Lance at EM Shorts has the best deal on it and I think they ship anywhere.

Here is a link to an an earlier thread in case I am missing something.
