This thread must have been created at .tk already, I don\'t know, I don\'t read there.
Here is my suggestion (if I\'m allowed to think and write about it) :
Cobra Strike at Bucketheadland
Nope. In fact, so far there\'s been practically no speculation about the title of the album.
I\'m quite anxious to know the album title and song names though.
Buckethead always comes up with new names.
LOL!
It\'s going to be titled "Snakely\'s Navel". Don\'t ask me how I know.
Festidious DurfTrain
Kentucky Fried Slunk Skins
Festivus Schmestivus.
:o
I\'m gonna go with the obvious King Of The Abyss
QuoteIt\'s going to be titled "Snakely\'s Navel". Don\'t ask me how I know.
How do you know this?
;D
i would like a little slunk in the album please (in title or a track) ;D ;D ;D

heh, from the lion king?
holiday album
Have to say .tk ergs the crap out of me.
QuoteI\'m gonna go with the obvious King Of The Abyss
This or "Slunk at the End of the Tunnel".
or "Between a Slunk and a Hard Place".
A Merry Slunk Holiday, Slunk Heaven lol
"Master of Slunks", instead of "Master of Horrors". :P

How so?
I think we as fans should come up with track names and an album title, much like In Search Of The has come to be. Alright, so we\'d never agree and it\'d take ages but I bet it\'d be before February! Haha.
Oh, and I\'m not too sure about the title myself, but I have a feeling it\'ll have the word Slunk in it.
lol what a waste of time, isot made sense because it was never supposed to have titles, but this album is getting titles in february, chill out everyone

It would happen the same as when Cyborg Slunks was released

I\'m not crazy about people making up song and album titles for buckethead (or any other artist). To me, if ISOT were meant to have titles, bucket would have done that himself. In this most recent case, I am pretty sure that when the LE comes out later as a non LE it will have a title and so will the tracks. I think it is presumptuous and alittle childish. I also think Saul is an attention whore. That goes way back to the binge board days.
What does this have to do with Saul? I don\'t think he ever had a hand in the "naming" of the tracks did he? Wasn\'t it a members initiative?
QuoteWhat does this have to do with Saul? I don\'t think he ever had a hand in the "naming" of the tracks did he? Wasn\'t it a members initiative?
I was asked why tk ergs me and I gave 2 reasons. I never said one had anything to do with the other.
I think the new album will be called "Animal Clothing" kind of like Animal Behavior. And I think "Dress Your Pets" will be one of the song titles for sure.
"King of the Abyss" Doesn\'t sound like an album title. Then again, that\'s what I thought when ARDITR and SBTS came out. I wouldn\'t expect him to do this as a whole tribute album. I understand for MJ, but not Ramellzee.
How about "Slunk on a Halfshell"?
Broken beak hidden cobra.
A Slunk on your Shoulder
Let the Slunk out of the Bag
Beat a Dead Slunk
A Penny Saved is a Slunk Earned
Let Sleeping Slunks Lie
Back to Slunk One
New Slunk on the Block
Slunk out of Luck (I like this one)
Curiosity Killed the Slunk (courtesy of Bloodbucket)
Buckethead seems to enjoy his music and I would hope that he likes his fans to do the same. Naming the tracks was just an offshoot of this. They didn\'t stick anyway and regardless I somehow doubt that Buckethead takes himself so seriously that he is offended by fans having fun in this way. I just don\'t think it is a big deal and I doubt he does but not knowing him I really can\'t say. If he tells us he is offended I would change my opinion on the subject.

MAYBE, he wanted US to come up with the titles?
And... AND... You uncreative people, sarcastically naming the album, can\'t you just let people speculate a little? It\'s technically possible to predict a Buckethead album name, all though very improbable. At least the names I said could ACTUALLY HAPPEN. You know, after seeing Slaughterhouse on the Prairie, Forensic Follies and Needle in a Slunk Stack come out, I thought he may do more spoof album names, perhaps involving an idiom.
You think Buckethead album names are so random that any guess is as good as another. Well I don\'t think that. I think some names are more likely than others.

There\'s seems to have been a bit of hostility on these forums lately. Bucketheadland is supposed to be a place for us Bucketbots to play and have fun. Let\'s do that. ;D
The execution will not be delayed!
No offense guys... But *respectfully* this is some dumb shit. Embrace a little bit of patience.

Sorry.
I somehow didn\'t make it clear, but that bolded part wasn\'t towards you. It was towards the people saying totally random, non-Buckethead-like, names.
If in the unlikely event that Buckethead decided to read this thread, he\'d probably become really uncomfortable with all the hostility being generated over naming an album. He\'s the artist, he won\'t give a chicken\'s rear-end if fans try guessing possible track names. I think it\'d be funny if he didn\'t name the songs. The Bucket holds the power... :(

QuoteThis thread should be deleted out of respect to buckethead and Travis.
I dont think so, but i would like a little bit of respect not to Travis or Bucket (although it would be good also) but to other members as well. If someone wants to speculate on the name he/she should be able to do so, thats why there is a board to talk about subjects related and there is a title to each thread. If its not apealing to someone he/she its free in his/her own free will to contribute and coment on the idea.
I personally dont like when we name the albums instead of Buckethead (ive personally restrained myslef from naming situations but not from voting or making a failed ecyclopedia of those names). Thats not what represents him or his persona. Its representing or own creativity or lack of. But in any case people like to do so and i wont stand in the way. I do remember 2 titles from the ISOT naming just because one its my fav track although i never name it by that title (just album and track) and the last one "Last butcher Dance" cuz its the last and longest (it makes sense to get stuck in the head XD).
As i say, this will be named soon. Any naming coming from this is most likely to have the same outcome as the naming of Cybrog Slunks.
HAving said that i hope this album as Slunk on a title but not on the album title cuz it would get too repetitive with other contemporary buckethead releases. ;D

OK, I can\'t believe that this thread I started went this far. I think I have been cautious enough when I said "if I\'m allowed to think and write about it". But I was thinking of Buckethead allowing me to do so, or not, and I was not thinking of others fans not allowing me to suggest this.
I usually don\'t like when titles are being made by fans after a release if it doesn\'t have titles. But I\'m not angry at people doing so.
This time, we got an "advance cd", and I have the same feeling when I listen to it as when I discovered the Cobra Strike albums, as well as the Bucketheadland ones.
Maybe should I have simply said this, instead of trying to build a title for the disc. Not because I think it was unrespectful towards Buckethead, but because I would have prefered to avoid another war here.
We will soon reach a point where I\'ll simply never post here again (my posts are rare already), in fear of getting patronizing comments from other board members.
Sorry to Travis and Buckethead for having brought a new fight here, and sorry to Buckethead if he didn\'t want us to let him know what his new music brought to our minds. If that\'s the case, Travis, please delete this whole thread, and the message will be clear enough, I\'m sure noone will ever try to name a Buckethead album in the future.
You know. It truly is sad that this thread degenerated into bickering. I thought it was just meant to have a little fun. What does it matter really if anyone makes up a goofy title or a "serious" one.
I think Buckethead would rather have people enjoying his music and having a little fun. It\'s rediculous to take this stuff so personally and seriously. Jeez people. Lighten the eff up.

GEICO RIPOFF!!!hahah
:D
Well, Boxenstein has cleared this whole thing up for me. My copy of album has the same title.
I think that pre-releasing the album without song names or art provided us bots with some extra fun. I am more interested in the art and imagery that comes with the labeled version of the album than the names and words. After all the shapes and forms and colors that the music has inspired for me, I\'m mighty curious as to what the new album looks like, and what sort of attitude or frame of reference it presents.
I\'ve written a few books. Let me tell you, give a blank manuscript without a description of content for the back cover and art on the front cover and you\'ll not get anyone to read it. The cover, a few words indicating idea and direction, and the scope presented by finished book are what get people oriented and interested. Our perception is quickly and dramatically narrowed by these clues and we\'re straightjacketed to be spoon-fed storylines we now expect, complete with our ideas of them instead of the author\'s ideas.
If someone started re-naming my books and chapter titles, I would probably think they had missed various boats. However, we all have different psychological archaisms and personal stories that shape our individual perception. We each watch a different movie of the exactly same world. Editors mess with by verbiage, but it doesn\'t affect my internal picture. We won\'t change the Bucket\'s viewpoint. I suppose there\'s no harm in lighthearted goofing around in the meantime.
The untitled album lets my [somewhat pschyco-technicolor-acidtripthey oftenask] mentality play with the sounds and what they generate for me. After this digestion and internalization of the music and after watching the pictures that run through my head and feeling the feelings that come up, it\'s going to be really fun to see what the Bucket put on the album for words and pictures.
I\'m having fun not knowing the titles and not having the usual leads to my interpretation of the world around me. There seems to be much more to life than the titles those around me put on things. The Bucket fills my vision with shapes and sounds and ideas. I always listen to his albums from start to finish. I can give you the first notes of the next song or phrasing, every time, but I usually don\'t know the names of the individual songs. The whole album comes across as a unit.
We got a lot of music from the Bucket in 2010. I wouldn\'t have wanted to miss a beat of it. The new album, for me, was another wonderful gesture from the Bucket to include me, I mean us bots, in the process of his music. His groundbreaking, mind blowing music. It\'s great to be a Buckethead fan.
I simply don\'t see the harm in people coming up with potential names, silly or otherwise. No one has to use them.
"It\'s great to be a Buckethead fan."
Abso-motherfucking-lutely! Well said.
Please try and have a little fun while we\'re at it.
Anyone who wants to take any of this stuff seriously needs to find the exit. That said, take the music seriously, but for pete\'sbloodyhand\'s sake (see what I did there?!) have a light heart and a robust sense of humor about all the rest of it.
People who want to go and get their knickers in a twist about any of it just baffle and bewilder me. It\'s supposed to be about having a whole bunch of fun. Don\'t lose sight of that. Oh.. and getting toasty... nice and toasty...

Sentimental titles go along with calm albums. This new one is far away from that

Yes, but I\'d expect it to sound like more of a concept album. Then again, it could explain why we\'ve been waiting so long for the names. I think it\'d be more exciting to see SDT show up in the store and then a few days later hear what it sounds like.
