Well it says he\'s been flagged repeatedly. Maybe it isn\'t so much youtube\'s fault, but morons flagging him who don\'t realize that it\'s perfectly kosher to post that footage.
:-( That sucks. At least we still have bunghole30... for now.

youtube is staring to get ridiculous ... for live footage? ..... seriously?
What\'s ridiculous is that Pete lost his channel and you somehow still have yours :-/
I\'m confused, Pete only had live footage?? If so, why was he flagged??

thats too bad for pete, that guy is a douche ;)
On other hand, im still clueless to why Pete gor deleted?, is it cuz of the live videos from bucket? if so, is it ilegal to post live videos??
Im seriously asking cuz i have no idea
Well that\'s a shame, he had some solid stuff up there but I am sure you could probably find it all on the ol\' interweb if you tried.
However while browsing youtube I found this video of a lucky fan at a concert, now I have seen people play it for like 5 seconds or so but this one is something special. Although it is a shame its bad quality.

Yes from what I\'ve seen virtually everything that was on Petesbloodyhands youtube was just other peoples work fliming shows, so he would just upload freely tradeable bootlegs.
1. There its nothing illegal with having what he had (all bootlegs)
2.
All the videos He hosted are freely available via the proper channels as complete shows ie. Trading and downloading3. I never understood the praise these (youtube) people get, all they do is upload someone elses work. Give credit where credit is due.. the filmers. None of those videos were actually Petes. Just freely traded bootlegs.
4. That dude who may have caused this has some nice looking footage but it is the worst edited footage I have ever seen, virtually unwatchable. Quite unfortunate he is hellbent on well.. whatever his reasoning is.
Such a shame, both he and bunghole have some of the best Buckethead videos around. The quality was amazing and I relied on those to get the live experience. He\'ll be missed.

really?

I never understood why people uploaded other peoples work. If you want to upload some videos..buy a camera and do it yourself.

yes really .. otherwise I would not have stated thats what I thought.
I dont like feeling seasick while watching boots, The closest angle is not always the best, and changing cameras/ camera angles every 5 seconds is a bit much, its not a snowboarding video, its a concert.

this is only one angle http://vimeo.com/15037655
For some reason i feel you are jealous of that nice video you have not seen.
It is a concert, Most people get bored with one angle and bad audio.
the difference is these are not bootlegs like you are used to. The more angles the better imo. One of my favorite live concert recordings was filmed with 20 angles and has about 30 cuts per minute.
Y
I don\'t see the big deal with uploading someone else\'s live video. It isn\'t like anyone is losing money over this. If you put it up somewhere where anyone can access it you have to expect people to use it.

Why do people always throw out he jealousy quip?
Why anyone would be jealous of someone who watched a show through a lense, when they could\'ve been actually watching the show, there in the moment, is quite frankly beyond me.
I\'m not jealous one tiny bit, you know, since Ive seen Bucket live with my own two eyes.
And but also, I am not jealous of anyone who has seen the Sistine Chapel either...

Yes certainly not jealous, I don\'t even watch boots of shows anymore.
No jealousy involved here, just amazement that thinking a "cut" or edit of camera angles every two seconds or the more angles the better is pleasing to viewers. But I guess its sooooo groundbreaking that the reasons That I don\'t like it must be because I\'m not used to that style.
To each their own.
*edit* I guess if any emotion is in play with the mentioned videos.. its disappointment ...to see what great footage is there, but to have it edited into an annoyingly unwatchable video by someone that has enough of an ego to get soneones youtube channel shut down sucks.
Yeah i don\'t get the adoration of the boot uploaders...YT is crappy quality. If you want the boots, why not trade for em? Or do B&Ps?
I don\'t see why the YT uploaders are seen as gods...its really bizarre and foreign to me.

EXACTLY!!! That was my point earlier... I really don\'t understand why the uploaders are so cherished... when it should be the filmers! (I\'d rather watch the show the first time when I\'m there, so thanks for being busy filming!!!!)
I don\'t think a lot of people understand that these are freely traded shows, all the YT people did was upload someone elses work.
Whats funny is that I have received a lot of boots from a lot of AMAZING bots who just sent em to me for nothing! I watched em when I got em, but i don\'t really watch them at all anymore.
I have done the same for many bots...at last count I had sent out over 100 boots to various bots...i\'m out of the game now but there are a ton of people who will get you started and trade with you.
I encourage this over YT vids...
It has nothing to do with ego. Youtube is a place for people to create something and upload. When someone creates something and someone else uploads it to youtube and takes credit for it is lame.
I for one only upload video i have personally made. Not others work.
While I appreciate the people that film these concerts, people want to watch the actual performer that is creating music on stage, with all the musical flaws and spontaneous creative changes that the studio albums do not have. They are not watching the editing techniques or angles of the performance.
As for the uploaders, I don\'t know if I\'d go so far as saying they are adored, but they are most certainly appreciated by people like me. Without them, I know I certainly would not have known of Buckethead\'s, Shawn Lane\'s, Paco de Lucia\'s, or countless other artist\'s and band\'s music, and wouldn\'t have been such a huge fan of their work.
Again, it starts with the people that record the performances, and they deserve a lot of the credit in spreading the word, especially those that have given them out for free in the spirit of tape trading (Keep Circulating The Tapes), but the bottom line is, if anyone has a right to these videos being pulled, it\'s the performer/their agent/company they signed with, not the bootleg recorder.
This has turned into a bit of a rant, and I hope I don\'t stir up too much crap, but having this person pull some videos off of YT almost feels like he copyrighted Buckethead\'s performance, and that just doesn\'t sit very well with me.
youtube is for people to upload videos they have created. That is youtube and that is what youtube is all about. The reason it is called youtube. It\'s not for someone to upload songs from albums, other peoples videos etc.
So glad I found this thread. It\'s cool to know so many others were a fan of these videos. "Buckethead - Night Of The Slunk - Williamsville, New York - 7/28/08" is one of my fav Bucket videos of all time. If anyone has a link to it on another account or another site, please, post it!
That totally sucks..I\'ve traded with Dave from way back..he was the best on you tube...what a bummer
