Title: The Dragons of Eden
Post by: bunghole30 on September 28, 2009, 01:35:57 PM
Hello Travis  :)

I just wanted to make this thread for a Dragon of Eden appreciation sort of thing, don\'t really mind it, but i just wanted to give Eden the Recognition it deserves.

I gave this album a listen last night and this really is a beautiful album, it really is, my favorite track would probably be "The Cosmic Calendar" its just so ........ relaxing and so beautiful sounding, the keyboards and guitar and bass and drums just flow so smoothly, its really a great mellow sound. :)

All in all, every track on the album is beautiful and i just wanted to thank Travis, Big B, and Brain, for putting your guy\'s heart and soul into this recording, i really feel the music here :D also Thank You to anyone else who was involved.

Thank you guys![/u] :D

I got this at the beginning of this month and cannot stop listening to it!!!  My fave track is Tales of Dim Eden.  I listen to this CD and and "see" my dream concert:
Buckethead,
Travis Dickerson,
Brain,
Cameron Stone
at Carnegie Hall
(with some Chicken Noodles thrown in).

When my family\'s Jack Russell died (we had him for 14 years), The Dragons of Eden really gave me a lot of comfort.  It is so beautiful that while I was sad, I could appreciate having such a good little friend for so many years.  I love this album and am slowly getting over the sadness that still comes when I listen to it.

Phenomenal album! One of my all-time favorites. I specifically asked Brain if there would be more to come, he said that these are what they call "binge albums" and that yes, there would probably be more! Hooray!!

Perhaps Travis could enlighten us as the time grows near?

IMHO, it just does not get any better than this. (Until the next one, of course!)

We should probably throw a little love toward the album art as it is spectacular.  This is one of my favorite looking albums.

I liked it even more as Travis played \'wanna see more... Click Again\' with the artwork.
Angle 1... angle 2
Back.. and back
and back.
Release
It must have been like \' oh they\'re not ready for this\'  I liked the tease.

Brain and Bucket may have binged a little on Dragons but really a lot of composition and careful crafting went into to this one so Brain ( I love you Bro) may have been thinking of Kevin\'s Noodle House) but Dragons was 1 percent binge and 99 percent hard work.

I\'m sure there will be another Dragons record sometime, I\'ll keep you posted.

That makes sense, I never realized that "binge" meant off-the-cuff noodling, an album of this magnitude could never just be improvised, it\'s WAYYYYY too good to not have some serious planning under the hood.

Kudos Travis. Your hard work is appreciated.
Here\'s to more to come!

oh, yeah.... i was sorta wondering because doe sounded really thought out and just like it was perfected. plus the credits that some songs were written by you and some songs written by buckethead and then some songs written by both of you would make it seem that there was some premeditation done for this album.  plus how you promoted it... seems like a lot of time and hard work went into it.

Buckethead and Travis sure do some great stuff! I love the vibe of this album. It\'s probably my favorite of their collaborations along with Anatomize and P.O.
