Title: Collaborations
Post by: TheNose on August 04, 2010, 12:05:59 PM
In an ideal world, who would you like to see Buckethead collaborate with, living or dead?  I can think of a few interesting possibilities:

Frank Zappa
Michael Jackson
Syd Barrett
Freddie Mercury
Jim Morrison/The Doors

Maynard James Keenan/Tool
Trent Reznor/Nine Inch Nails
Aphex Twin

What do you guys think?  :-)

Frank Zappa would have been a very interesting collaboration...  ;)

- Danny Elfman / Oingo Boingo
- Mike Keneally
- Wayne Krantz
- Robert Fripp / King Crimson
- Phil Keaggy (acoustic)

Definitely digging the Flaming Lips suggestion, and the King Crimson one.  I was actually thinking the same thing.    Another one along the line of Aphex Twin and Brian Eno would be Squarepusher.

If we\'re talking guitar virtuoso collaborations like Shawn Lane, I\'d like to see him with Gilbert, Friedman, Malmsteen, or Jason Becker (pre-ALS).

They have made one song together, called Bursting.

I thought they did something but I wasnt for sure because I thought I had the CD but it was Freakbass instead... which is a cool song that was inspired by one of the Funnel Weaver songs.

Thanks Kriller30

If Omar Rodríguez-López and Bucket made an album together, it could quite possibly be the best album of all time.  :D

I heard that the reason Buckethead wears a mask is because once he played a song so good he melted his own face.
True story. ;)
