Hey Travis, will we ever see the release of this cd?
I\'ve been waiting a long time for this album to see the light of day.
i don\'t know if Travis is the person to ask about this, since this album was supposedly started in 97 and was due to be released on John Zorn\'s labe Avant (the same label as BHL and Pieces) but obviously never got released. even if Travis knew anything about it i doubt he would say anything publicly since he\'s not involved with the project.
Taken from the Riffage Buckethead interview:
Riffage: When is the Disneyland album coming out?
Buckethead: Oh, I\'m working on that right now --in fact, right when you called. Hopefully (it will come out) early in the year, because it\'s been a long, long time. I just was never happy (with it). I did it and I didn\'t like it and I just kept (working on it). But now I\'m just gonna do it and let it be, and I\'ll just make another one if I don\'t like it.

We know, and in an interview, Travis said he wasn\'t involved in it, but he\'s sure Buckethead will release it when he\'s ready. Note: that could be never.
Im also wondering if he has had problems getting Dinsey to allow him to release it. Buckethead isnt really Disney material and Im not sure they would like to be assoicated with him. I could be totally wrong...
^i\'ve thought that too. even if the music is different enough to the originals to avoid copyright issues (which it probably is, it is B after all) i\'m sure it would be an issue to use the word Disney in the title as well as the names of rides as song titles as they are also copyrighted.
Disney shouldn\'t have a problem with B though, they should be employing him to make improvements to their themeparks. last time i went to Disneyland i came out with all my limbs attached, i mean come on!
maybe Disney is threatened by the competition of Bucketheadland. who knows.
Disney haven\'t been squeaky-clean for a while, and while I\'m not saying they promote such themes as death, doom and robots, I don\'t think it\'s a case of Buckethead tainting their image. I think the problem is copyright - either he\'s tried previously and failed or he hasn\'t even conquered the mountain. Now he\'s more of an established artist he may have more luck if his intentions are a tribute to Disney (which I think it is).
Makes me wonder, what songs/themes would be on it?
