it´s late night (over here) and since the board seems a bit quiet , I thought about the educational aspect of music..
for me -there is one no doubt.
I´ve learned of beautiful californian landscapes, big cemeteries and american poets. and all just from song titles or bandnames...
so, well, well, well, what would my teacher say - if he was alive today..
rock music isn´t that bad at all
did I mention it´s late?
Poets, Philosphers, Politicians and Panhandlers...
music teaches about so many things it was hard to start listing for fear of not finding a place to stop! i chose a few good "Ps" and hope that you have a lovely night pondering the educational joy of music in all its forms!
i\'m off to search my studio for things i can pass on... ;o)
reading my post again brings up one thought:
maybe you can provide me with music that deals with grammar, punctuation and spelling. ;)
LOL!!!
Sorry, I think the closest I can come is a bluesie rendition of the ABCs that I sang to my son when he was a baby... ;)
i agree!although has anyone noticed that it seems instrumental songs tend to have more interesting titles to them?i dunno,it just seems like the title describes the song more than a song with vocals for some reason.

I have the perfect CD for ya d6!
It\'s called "School House Rock". For those who remember Saturday morning cartoons (before cable tv came along), School House Rock was the animated, musical commercial segments in between cartoons. They were the \'educational\' part of the morning. ;)
This CD offers some of the more memorable, catchy tunes from SHR... performed by artists such as Blind Melon (3 is a Magic Number), Better Than Ezra (Conjunction Junction) & Chavez (Little Twelvetoes). Moby, The Lemonheads, Pavement and others are also on the CD.
I don\'t know how educational it really is...but it\'s kinda fun to have in your CD collection! :)
:)
thanks for the tip. but moby and lemonheads are a hurdle I never could take.
