Title: Ringtone
Post by: chickentrain on July 21, 2010, 05:34:15 AM
After 4 years of having the same phone, I recently got a new phone. My new phone also doubles as an MP3 player. I\'ve never had an MP3 player before, so I think it is a neat feature for a phone. (Two birds with one stone...)

Anyway, my phone can be "hacked" to play one of the MP3s as a ringtone, and I\'ve chosen Gigan for my ringtone at the moment. Anyone else have a TDRS-related ringtone? ;D

All my ringtones are Buckethead themed.  The one I am currently using is the beginning of Electric Bell Blanket.

I was thinking of using Electric Bell Blanket for my text message tone, but my phone only supports changing it for incoming calls, so I had to go with a default ringer for text messages.

I might change it from Gigan to The Bight of Benin. There\'s so many good choices that it\'s hard to choose. :P

I use bits of songs from ISOT, the unusual pieces make for great ringtones. I use a website called Myxer that lets you upload MP3s and edit them into ringtones that get sent to your phone for free, been using it for about 2 years now I think and it\'s great. Currently using the drum beat from Volume 13 (unofficially titled Butcher\'s Last Dance), seems to annoy people if I let it ring long enough!

I am using a bit of Pin Bones and Poultry for my text tone.  Oh, and I have used part of Humans Vanish for my mom\'s unique ring for a couple of years now.  One unintended consequence is that whenever that song comes on randomly on my iPod I reach for my phone.

Cool choices, people. 8) Lots of variation.

Hah! I never thought of that. I\'ll probably start doing that, too.

My ringtone is the codec sound of Metal Gear.
I feel like Snake in Shadow Moses everytime I get the phone.
